The cop did not “run away” a police officer stood on another police officers shoulders to poke a head above the roofline to see if there was a person there after people had pointed out a guy on the roof. Once the cop did a pull up and his head poked over the roofline, the shooter aimed his rifle at the cops head, and the cop poked his head back down. The cop was in a compromised position after all how can you have your gun in your hand if you’re hoisting your self onto a roofline. The police clearly interrupted the shooter and thus the shooters shots were rushed (thank God). Sharpshooters were also focused in on the shooter when the first shots ring out the shooters took him out. Nobody is considering the shit storm that would’ve happened if the guy on the roof was a photographer . Can anyone imagine the damage to the Trump campaign if his security, or even the Secret Service domed a KZitemr, CNN photographer or independent journalist. Also, I would hate to be the officer or agent who killed an innocent Trump supporter or worse, left-wing media person at a Trump rally while the Joe Biden DOJ is in power. Ultimately, it was the secret services responsibility to have all surrounding building secured in the first place. USSS is in charge of those events in bear the responsibility not the street cops they have work crowd control and parking.

has a point though, they woulda had to hire ronda rousey or gina carano to cover someone as big as Trump.. didn't make sense for them all to be that short and tiny compared to their male counterparts as a security to the president. on this specific circumstance they make a really good point.
