That's actually a very ironic statement. 98% of the time that's EXACTLY how it is. Whoever a viewer is subscribed to they will almost always agree. Even if it's something they almost certainly wouldnt have believed beforehand. Like there's videos with thousands of views about shit like avengers endgame, and although the vast majority of people loved it, these small youtubers and their videos have a very high like/dislike ratio. The ONLY exceptions to this are 1. Religion 2. Politics. And that's literally it. Every other time they will follow their youtuber like (for lack of a better word) dogs.

I was searching for the truth for months. Listening to Dawkins, Hitchens and Christian apologetics. In the end, I was walking down the street here in Dublin, Ireland and I said to myself, and I really really meant it: I’m NEVER thinking about this again and I’m going to do what I want in life. At that very moment two girls approached me and said can we talk to you? Pissed off with it all I said “yeah what do you want?” She said to me “if you want to see the kingdom of heaven you have to become a born again Christian”. The timing of that, I knew even if I didn’t want to believe it - God spoke to me and gave me the answer at the very moment I’d given up. Why did God answer me after I’d given up I wondered? Because if those girls came up to me at any other time I would’ve questioned it because I was in questioning mode. God waited until he knew he would really get through to me. I didn’t want to believe it that I had to become a born again Christian. I since did and inviting God and the son who sacrificed his life for me was the best thing I’ve ever done. That’s my truth. God bless.

I remember walking whilst talking to a colleague of mine on the phone. My colleague had been down beaten and not motivated to carry the out tasks he had been set to complete. He was about 10 miles away but it didn't stop me visualising his environment and I started to encourage him to notice the beautiful moments he was in. It was a gorgeous day, the sun was out the birds were singing, the bees were buzzing. I knew he was surrounded by lush peaceful countryside and he had the freedom to work at his own pace without somebody hassling for productivity. Within no time he was good to go. I put the phone down and then realised how high a state I got off my own words. The next six people stop me to talk to me. I don't mean a passing hello I mean stop me because they wanted to have conversation with me. It could be said somebody you dont know stopping you for a chat is quite normal. Two is nice. Three is odd but six separate people at six different times and in a row, wow! That felt like an incredible experience. I suppose I am saying you get yourself in such a state that you can attract people that are in some or another way looking for that energy you are radiating. 🙏

Christianity is about sun worship, the stories about Jesus are symbolic. He is just a personification of the sun. The sun "dies" for 3 days on December 22nd, the winter solstice, when it stops its movement south, to be born again or resurrected on December 25th, when it resumes its movement north. In some areas, the calendar originally began in the constellation of Virgo, and the sun would therefore be "born of a Virgin" The sun rising in the morning is "the saviour of mankind" The sun "walks on water" is just the reflection of the sun on water/the sea. "He cometh in the clouds" is just sun rays. The sun's "followers", "helpers" or "disciples" are the 12 months and the 12 signs of the zodiac or constellations, through which the sun must pass. The sun at 12 noon is in the house or temple of the "Most High": thus.."he" begins "his Father's work" at "age" 12. The sun enters into each sign of the zodiac at 30 degrees, hense, the "Sun of God" begins his ministry at "age" 30. The sun is hung on a cross or "crucified", which represents its passing through the equinoxes. The vernal equinox being Easter, at which time it is then resurrected. The reason why saviour myths are so similar with a godman who is crucified and resurrected, who does miracles and has 12 disciples, is that these stories were based on the movements of the sun through the heavens, an astrotheological development that can be found throughout the planet, because the sun and the 12 zodiac signs can be observed around the globe. In other words, Jesus Christ and all the others upon whom this character is predicated are personifications of the sun, and the Gospel fable is merely a rehash of a mythological formula revolving around the movements of the sun through the heavens. ... .

I woke at 4am thinking about this clip. My question is this: if there is a creator of the universe, who made space, time, matter, nature and the trees, seas, mankind and everything…would he not have the power to bend whatever he chose to his will? Similar to a video game designer having the ability to use cheat codes for his video game, why couldn’t a God have the ability to do “miracles”? I agree it would be impossible for Jesus to walk on water, turn water into wine, preform miracles and raise the dead…if he was only a man. It would only possible if he was God in the flesh, using his cheat codes. I could go a lot deeper into this, but this kinda makes since right? I believe it is logical to believe that Jesus could walk on water, because where there is infinite power nothing is impossible. It is only by the grace of God that YOU or even Joe reads this. What if you could actually have a relationship with the creator of the universe who was infinite power? What if he actually loves you more than you can fathom? What if he died so that you can be free from sin? Why not seek him humbly with all your heart and find out for yourself? I assure you there is mountains of evidence that point to there being a creator and him being Jesus Christ. Also, even atheist scholars agree that Jesus was a real dude. He even has genealogy that traces his linage back 41 generations! He is referenced in not only the Bible, but in multiple OTHER religious text. Such as Islam (in the Quran), and several others. Dude I can go on and on about this stuff, just open the door for him to come into your life and I promise he will. He is knocking right now. It’s sad that there are so many “church’s” who claim to know Jesus but live in a way that promotes Satan. Jesus was not judge-mental, condemning, or legalistic like countless church’s are. HE LITERALLY HAD DINNER WITH HOMOSEXUALS, PROSTITUTES, and the worst people you could think of. Why?-because he came to call sinners to repentance. You may not be a serial killer, prostitute, or drug dealer, but you messed up at least once in your life. You done at least one thing wrong, whether it be a little white lie or a crime. None of us are perfect or righteous, that’s why we all need Jesus. Repent and accept him in your heart, because he is coming back soon. Guys everyone who really knows Jesus, knows that it is not a religion it is a relationship with the one who created me and you.

@@tnl-warrior3218 The conversation is about whether not Jesus was an actual historical figure. Joe is applying a reasonable amount of scrutiny and skepticism about a person who likely existed but whose deeds where clearly exaggerated over time. For anyone familiar with the world history, ancient world and mythology in general, real people being exaggerated over time and given divine attributes is very common. Some famous example being king Gilgamesh of Uruk, king Arthur and Buddha. Real people who were given divine properties centuries after death Joe's position only seems biased because very few people look at the Jesus tale with the appropriate amount of scrutiny.

pawned pawned bro you want facts! 😂 That's very humble of you. Let me guess, you want God to show himself in front of you? What makes you so special that he should show himself upfront of you? He gave us the rule book or call it whatever you want. Saying that religion takes people backwards is bullshit. We can have everything we have today and have faith. Someone mentioned above western values... The whole western or modern world as we know it is built on Christianity. If they mean by western values, money, greed, last, power and what else, we'll then... What's so good about it. Anything else you're thinking of is a part of Christianity. I'm Christian orthodox, and trust me man I have doubts about God every day. After all its normal, we're all humans. And when I go to church once in 6 months more or less, and I listen to what the priests reads or talks about, makes me realise I'm wrong as much as love my life, I enjoy life, going out, women everything... You realise everything is just at the moment and will pass. Do you need a book to be a good person? No of course, but you don't read a byble just to be a good person it's for your own well being. I'm a hypocrite BTW cos I never read it, but I see people around me who do. There are lot of miracles in orthodox Christianity, now are they true or not I don't know. But I do know for some where they have saints who died 100s years ago and their body is stil intact. It hasn't rotten. And no it's not mummified. We're free to live our life's as we please, that's the beauty of it. But to say that if you're religious you're locked up or something... Its not a cult. Also problem is people see God like white bearded guy standing above the clouds like in Simpsons. That's first mistake they make. Of course no one believes in that. What I don't like about churches is they're all money hungry. It's those western values that has made it that way. I did go out of topic a bit sorry.

The reason Dawkins loses me here is because when asked whether he thought Jesus was a real historical person he responds, “the evidence isn’t strong, of course” as though that’s an obvious fact. This is just academically ridiculous. There’s more evidence that Jesus was a real historical person than there is that Cicero and other great historical figures were actual people. Not least of all, there’s the numerous evidence that many (not a few) of Jesus’ followers died a martyrs death because they were unwilling to deny his existence.
@jasonthomas5793
Ай бұрын
He also implies he's willing to accept that he was a historical figure and doesn't care either way. Also, followers dying for not denying his existence doesn't prove jesus rose from the dead. There's been various cults in the past thirty years where people have killed them selves in the name of a belief. Example: the “Heaven’s Gate” religious cult, whose leaders preached that suicide would allow them to leave their bodily “containers” and enter an alien spacecraft hidden behind the Hale-Bopp comet. The followers may have genuinely believed he did rise from the dead. It's not evidence of the resurrection. Plenty of people were killed or crucified for their own beliefs. I accept that jesus was a historical figure, but I don't accept he performed actual miracles.

@@whatabouttheearth The Gospel is the real word of God but was killed (corrupted) just like its messenger (Messiah) was "killed". Quran is a back up plan of God to counter act the corruption done on the previous scriptures. God revealed this newer version/testament (Quran) away from the people (Jews) who corrupted the old testament and new testament (Torah & Gospel). To protect his word, God chosen and revealed His ultimate revelation to a Prophet who wasn't an Israelite but a person who spoke different language. God ordered this chosen non-Israelite Prophet (Muhammad) to memorize His ultimate words immediately and also instructed his followers to also memorize it. This way, the memorization of the entire words of God's ultimate revelation (Quran) is a tactic of protection from those who corrupted it previously. If the Jews or pharisees or Romans wanted to corrupt the Quran like they did to the old and new testament, they had a lot of difficult task. They would have to learn Arabic and become a Muslim to get a chance to corrupt it again. They also have another problem! Many Muslims memorized the Quran by heart and they would have to kill all those Muslims to get a chance to corrupt it. Because if all the written word of God was burned, all the memorizers will come together to rewrite it again. This is God's ultimate counterplan against the Jews who conspired to corrupt the Torah and Gospel. This is why the Judeo-Christian Zionist alliance hate Muslims today. Because Muslims are protecting God's ultimate word that exposed their corruption of previous scriptures.

Joe Distefano sure. Dawkins argues that omniscience and omnipotence are mutually incompatible because he said if God wills A and intends to bring it, he can’t change His mind because then He wouldn’t be omniscient, but if He couldn’t change His mind then He wouldn’t be omnipotent. Dawkins incorrectly assumes that logical contradictions are a necessary knowledge of omniscience. They’re not. For example, a square circle cannot be created because such a notion’s essence is self-contradictory. Divine knowledge also doesn’t work like a chronological thinking process. God is outside of time and if He wills something, it necessarily follows it will occur. Because God is outside of time, all of his decisions occur simultaneously with His will, which so different than human temporality which sees us waiting for things to occur.
@abecore
4 жыл бұрын
@@flamesfan1417 I'm curious how christianity squares the free will idea with god's omniscience and omnipotence without creating a logical paradox. If we have free will to make our decisions but god is omniscience, can he not see the decisions we will make ahead of time and wouldn't that render our decisions as pre-determined? Even if there are multiple possibilities, god can still see them all so how is free will justified? If god chooses not to look, that still doesn't preclude the idea of pre-determinism so why would he stop someone from entering heaven if he already knew all their decisions ahead of time? How does Christian theology tackle this seeming paradox or am I mistaken in recognizing this as a paradox?
@flamesfan1417
4 жыл бұрын
abecore2000 you’re right in pointing out this apparent contraction. I’ve come to understand this through understanding one of the classical properties possessed by God along with omniscience etc. - omnipresence, which is that God exists in all places, in all times. Because God is not temporal, He exists today just as He exists 1,000 years ago and 1,000 years from now. Essentially, we separate God’s foreknowledge from our free will. In other words, just because God knows what we will choose to do, it does not necessarily follow that He determined our action. I am Catholic and that’s how I’ve come to understand it - different religions or denominations may understand it differently!
