four months ago from the dramatic disaster, he looked so happy here! If you look at the 75 birthday video, it is hard to see him struggle and looking so sad! Just a week later his wife Maxine passed away, and even after that he continued playing, what a great man he really was. One of the best and friendliest musician ever walked on this dirty planet....but Joe was beautiful!

Even in his last month's of life, Z was still able to play with joy and passion - what a unique individual and musician! Fabulous performance - I just wish it didn't mess with my head so much when the visual and the audio are slightly out of sync! LOL

Joe, what a completely unique spirit. I would've loved to see him collaborate with Pat Metheny, unless he actually did. It's cool to see JZ so vital before he got sick.

i swear, the first one i heard with the syndicate was Bona, then i heard linley marthe and didnt like him at first, but now i love him. Wonder if the same will happen with this guy...haha!! peace
i think this is the worst mix i ever heard from Zawinul´s Band...They play great and ORF Television is destroying everything.Who is the guy mixing? Donald Duck?

I was lucky enough to see his 2004 band play the Hollywood Bowl! I've seen pretty much everyone in my day. Miles, Stern, Scofield, Dizzy, Herbie, Chick etc etc) I have to admit- I was in tears because it was so impressive! He was not only a unreal musical talent....but an amazing musical director!

Loved this, inspirational grooves! Was jamming to it on violin, so many possibilities within such seemingly 'simple' 2 or 3 note motifs, and the collective groove is a just the most amazing expression of sheer joy. JZ lives on in the spirit of music! like all the immortals he's in an eternal higher dimension beyond time and space...Thanx for posting!
