Watching this after the Michigan win today and while I love and agree with 99% of what Joel says and I agree Michigan needs to open up the passing playbook, when you run for over 400 yards and time of possession is 45 minutes your chance of losing is very small. This is the key to beating offensive glamour teams like OSU. Keep the ball away from them and smash it down their throats when you have it. Just like last year. To beat a Georgia (which I think is a step down this year), Michigan may have to do more than that, but we shall see. Go BLUE.

Explain to me how it’s a bad matchup for Alabama ?? Tennessee - Appears to be a good Offense, but have to see them against Alabama’s D. - Defense is stout against the run, decent at pressuring the QB, and is god awful at defending the pass. They rank 128 out of 131 FBS Teams. Alabama (Assuming Bryce Plays) - Top Offense in CFB. Run Game better than last year averaging 250YPG and leads the nation in YPC. - Defense is elite and ranks in the top 5 of all major defensive categories with the exception of turnovers surprisingly. Best Pass Rush in the Nation. CB's are Elite and the single guy that struggled against Texas WR was benched for a freshman and after that Worthy didn't beat anyone deep

With Bama/TN, there is a bit of an unknown to this game. Bama has struggled to run the ball consistently and their WR's could NOT get open(Which is not coincidence with very little running game threat). Teams were sitting back with heavy coverage, drop 8, throw in some QB blitzes, etc. Mad pass coverage. Then Bryce Young got hurt last week. When Bryce went out, Saban went back to grind the o-line and control the game. Bama struggled to do that not only this season. But, even at times last season too. Gibbs has gone nuts the last 2 weeks and the running game has been fantastic. What is the best friend of WR's who are struggling to get open? Play Action Pass, which requires teams to actually have a fear of your running game, which until just recently people didn't have with Bama. People were more afraid of Gibbs catching a pass than running the ball. That changed the last 2 weeks. Tennessee will have to fear Gibbs taking handoffs. They'll have to respect the running game and not sit back all game with 2 deep safeties. That will open up a lot more passing windows and free up WR's from the heavy coverages. Bryce also has a load of weight taken off of him with the O-Line creating running lanes and Gibbs/McClellan. Traditionally Bama has been the most dangerous when they can create BALANCE ON OFFENSE. They have NOT been able to do that this year against decent teams until Young went down and Saban leaned on the O-Line. That line stepped up. Bama has continued to improve week to week. People are used to 'Limit Bryce Young, and you can win' with this Bama team. Now they'll have to stop the run FIRST. I don't think you can stop Bryce Young. You can stop the WR's, though. But, with the running game rolling now, this will be a different animal. I do odds on games and I think Bama not only wins this game. But, covers.

He didn’t so much use them as a paycheck as he used them to learn from some of the best coaches in CFB instead of a senior year

This is a prime example of the idea that a guy who has actually played the game has better takes than a guy that served as a water boy/mascot

Tennessee has a problem getting to the playoff in that they have to beat Alabama twice and Georgia once. Tough order to fill.

Well Bama could lose to Ole Miss.. Plus if Bama is the team If they beat UGA then they can lose and be a top 4 if USC and OK St fall.. I live In Atlanta. Hate UGA. But they wont lose to Tennessee. Bana and Tennessee and Bama Ole Miss is what to watch. Then the Championship game. UGA is only elite team today unfortunately..
