This is real! I remember the boys who got in trouble in class being taken to closet and spanked with wooden paddle and coming out crying. The nuns at my school were harsh. I remember Sister Eileen putting a leash on a boy because he bit another kid this was in the first grade and she put a leash on him and pulled him around at recess. They were crazy and this wasn't a million years ago this was the 80s in Baltimore City. Well I guess that might be million years ago to some of you, but this was real. I remember one at the school I went to when I was in kindergarten and she used to take her ring and drill it into your skull if you didn't fall asleep during nap time. But you're a kid so you don't know that the adults shouldn't be doing this stuff to you, I'm glad someone had the guts to fight back.
@MistaBaZ
5 жыл бұрын
This is my own theory on all of the abusive nun stories and I may be wrong but this is just how I interpret them. For starters, Christianity and Catholicism are the grand staples for why we as a people have made things taboo; homosexuality, bisexuality, oral sex, anal sex, various kinks, interracial partnering and such. If not for the Puritanical belief system Christianity imposed upon the nations it landed in, something as human nature as homosexuality wouldn't have a name such as "gay". As it was, during the Edo Era of Japan, prior to western influence, homosexuality amongst men, especially samurai, was considered noble... to have such a strong bond and relationship with another man. This was simultaneous to the Ancient Hellenistic era in which Spartans and Athenians, too, didn't frown upon homosexuality. Rather, it was seen as a sort of honor, a sacred act, for a man to lay with a man when they were gone onto war, gone from their wives for long periods of time. Being a Nun is anti-feminine. I believe it has to do something with a natural, maternal instinct which these women do no possess. It's the only psychological explanation I could think of, instead of pinning it all on a belief system. It is a woman's nature to want kids... we see this in the simple things like when a woman gets an urge to clean everything in her house. This is called nesting and is a primal instinct triggered by ovulation. For a woman who vowed herself to a superstitious idol, she's using an imaginary force as a reason to combat her female programming. Eventually, this builds into a resentment and beating on children became the outlet. Resenting the children's mothers, perhaps believing some children to be born out of wedlock, some mothers may have been promiscuous and some may very well have simply caught the brunt of being part of the flock that's getting beaten. This following statement isn't to say that every mother is a good mother and not one could be wicked or cruel. However, a woman who doesn't have children of her own, no matter how many children she's dealt with in her life, cannot appreciate and produce the same mentality as a woman who is a mother in concerns with putting hands on a child. I went to Catholic school, we had nuns. But not one of them hit any of us because they knew many of our mothers weren't having it. Tell my mother all you want that she's going to hell for beating on a nun who beat on her child but I bet that nun never raises her hand again. Overall, I feel as though the issue with these old nuns wasn't simply done through vows and promises and seeing taboos with every product of Original Sin they now have to teach English and Math to, but also a psychological issue. You have to be a deranged and sick individual to get off on beating on kids, flexing your strength on someone so much smaller than you who doesn't have the capacity for words, comprehension and articulation the way an adult is expected to. I've raised kids, nieces and nephews and could barely stomach an accidental injury upon them let alone dumping milk on them, slapping them around, humiliating, degrading and beating them with paddles or cutting them with jewelry. This is not something that should've been tolerated by people who were followers of Christ and his Golden Rule... Unless, of course, nuns use "nun" as a guise while engaging in bdsm when no one is watching. Because the type of violence and psychological abuse put upon these kids is very much like bdsm -- the difference is these aren't consenting adults looking for a kinky night. They're kids who're very impressionable and easily confused.
