Roman Reigns would be good if they gave him a new moveset but with powerhouse moves,that superman punch and spear is too light for a guy like him. The samoan drop he has and a powerbomb would be perfect for him,more moves where he has to grab and slam. Cena is a monster,The Big Show said when you are in his shoulders you are in a concrete wall and you can order a pizza because you are not going anywhere.

It won't happen back then. He's not a top guy before, you can't present him as the tribal chief if he hasn't won the royal rumble or the grand slam champion. You can present him as a heel but not the top heel. But back in 2020 after all his failures for character work and development he knows who he is and he knows how WWE audience works.

The promo where Cena just buried Roman was the best thing that could have happened to Roman. It showed Vince that Roman could never be the next Cena which he was hell bent on doing. That's not why it happened though Roman is most probably done or will become a part timer like Cena...after this title reign...he's going Hollywood or TV just like Cena...Vince started this whole thing with the plan of just focusing on Reigns and his title reign to make him a legend, the whole jey thing was something they stumbled upon...jey is a crazy performer and it worked...it wasn't until Hunter came into the fray that the whole Sami/ Bloodline thing actually went anywhere...

Like forget the Sufferin Succotash line when he called John a "fake ass bitch" it didn't even hit his mark cause it sounded like a kid who just learned to cuss and just threw it together. When John said during the first feud that they don't believe you he wasn't lying. Fans love or hated John but it wasn't because of him not believing in his character thet times had just changed and he stayed true to hisself maybe a little too much. Roman on the other hand came off as someone trying way too hard to get over with a character that I don't think even he fully believed. The fans saw through it and of course being pushed the way he was too didn't help. Now hate him or love him I mean dude is the freaking man now.

I agree, for whatever reason it is (sales & views), WWE (mostly Vince & the writers/ producers) pushed Roman’s character to such a point that this character he has now, just works. He’s the face of another group, but it’s clear that he’s the leader and the strongest and him being constantly able to find ways to win regardless makes him dominate, similar to that of Triple H & Randy Orton. He’s not just the bad guy, but he’s the Guy-period. Ladies love him and guys all bought in too. Kids think he’s believable and that makes him such a great character, especially with everything he had gone through w/ his health, and them accelerating things now just feels more organic than his initial stages when Daniel Bryan and John Cena were around. Also having good matches w/ Brock Lesnar definitely helped him make him more legitimate. He’s gotten to such a point that it doesn’t matter who he faces, and it works even if you get the same finish. For that reason, as much as I’d like to Cody win, I’m not entirely sure the WWE is done w/ Roman’s arc.
@IamWoodstaman

As someone who hasn’t watched wrestling for years and last watched around 2017, I’d say it’s about fucking time he’s a big star because he’s had nothing less than the most singularly emphatic push for the best part of a decade. He’s had everything handed to him. I wonder what may have become of other guys if Roman wasn’t so singularly pushed.
@mikephillips1043
Жыл бұрын
That's the thing though Im not a Roman fan at all but it wasnt handed to him... they tried to hand it to him and it didnt work AT ALLLLL. What worked was when they stopped forcing him and he/heyman took him another direction and after he got over their shit has been the best storytelling in wrestling since Austin and Rock left 20yrs ago. Nothing Cena did was better, the Daniel Bryan stuff wasnt near this, Punk had that summer but this has been better and has had WAY more longevity. The crazy thing is that this has been ONE storyline. Something that normally MAX goes 1 year mania to mania and those arcs normally take breaks but in general lasts a year but this has been EVERY WEEK same story for 2ys and everyone LOVES it. It started with Roman trying to teach Jey a lesson about family and evolved into a faction then into the Sami era where he was more over than YES era Bryan and have the Cody mania swerve and now the crumbling of the faction... it's a moment that will be told for generations of wrestling fans happening live infront of our faces and the fact everyone already knows that because how great it is... thats all that needs to be said.

No one wants to admit it but there are some people in the WWE's upper management that don't want Roman to be Champion. There's Jealousy of his success. A lot of people working behind the scenes to try and take that championship away from him and then bury him and lose him in the shuffle. You think it's because of the size of the roster they made a new belt. No! Then they try to cover it by making new designs for the other champs. And then to over compensate like people trying to cover their tracks they debut these new belts with a big public revealing where they pull the cloth off. You guys aren't seeing it! Watch! Watch what I tell you! Its true! You'll see! Slowly and Subtly taking his life away.
