I removed the outer clutch cover and used a bore bit to make 3" access hole. Saved quite a bit of time and extra unnecessary parts change. After I replaced starter I used gorilla tape inside & out to close the hole I made. 620i gator

I see the point and understand why you would do that, but I try not to cut or modify anything from its original configuration if I can help it. Thank you for watching!

Glad you like yours, we look ke ours too when we can keep it running ! Have spent lots of money having it hauled and repaired only to not stay fixed! Going to take the bull by the horns and learn how to fix it from you! Parked it in the garage went back out 15 min later and it wont start! Just keeps turning over but wont fire??? Where do you suggest we start looking? Thank you

Wish I was around you i would be happy to review. Ours has been bulletproof for the over 300 hours we have had it (now at 700 hours total). They’re simple machines so something is definitely wrong. As I was always told it takes three things to run: air, fuel and fire. Therefore, you either are not getting enough air (clogged filter or carburetor), no fuel delivery (again carburetor or lines or pump, or no fire (spark plugs, wires, coils). This model has two plugs on each side of the engine and mine were loose when I bought it. Also, bad gas? More than likely it’s carburetor. Good luck!

James, I can’t find your video of the spark plug change. I Have a 2014 625i and I am getting gas in the crank case. Everything that that I have read says John Deere has had issues with short tripping and the engine isn’t getting up to temp to burn the fuel. So I thought I would change the oil filter and spark plugs. I can’t find the spark plugs.

Sorry, I ended up not filming the plug change. It’s actually quite easy. The rear plug you can get to no problem, the front side you have to remove the metal guard cover (which for some reason now rattles even though it is tight) to access that plug. Other than that they came gapped correctly from john deere and it took about 10 min. Good luck and thank you for watching!

Sorry the delayed response. It took no more than a couple of hours. Pretty easy.
