I have a john deere 4310 tractor with a 2 stage blower and it does more than what I ask it to do. I absolute love the combination

I used a similar setup just a rear Snowblower and a front power broom. The snow blower was mainly used to clear loading docks and areas to get the snow out where the plows or box plows can get it. The broom was used to finish clearing sidewalks and typical walkways behind and infront of the buildings.

@@CarsonSchifsky get mixed metal and plastic and the only thing it won't remove is ICE. I actually found sometimes it was nice just to ride the tractor. and occasionally had to use the blower to push the snow banks back or clear a drainage cut through curb.

I grew up in a farming community and worked on some farms when I was a kid but I have just retired after 44 years in a white collar job. We are moving back to southern Idaho and plan to build a house on a hillside at about 6000 feet above sea level. I have been advised that I need a 60 hp tractor to blow snow but the John Deere dealer s=tells me he has sold small tractor - 25 to 40 HP - to others in heavy snow country and they have not had problems. I looking to purchase the 3520 but wondered what you thought. I have a small private road of about 1/3 mile to clear to the county road that is serviced by the county crew.

Great video! Thanks. I’ve been running a FRONTIER 1084 blower on a JD 4044R front 3 point and PTO with a 8’ SNO-MAN rear plow for a few years now and love it. Before that I had 7.5’ Meyers blade on loader with quick-attach rig, along with rear plow. Definitely recommend a blower over plow if you get a lot of snow. Although it was very pricey to setup my machine in this manner, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I have the same tractor with cab and 7' blade on the front with 6' blower on the back. Yes it is top heavy but warm in the winter and a/c in the summer. Turf tires seem to work better in the snow I have found out. The 3520 is 37HP and handles what ever I throw at it for snow and mowing. Like you don't abuse it and take care of it to last.

I have one on e 4115 and it's great to use when clearing heavy snow vs. plowing, and versatile for tight areas and deep snow. I have no cab neither but am planning to build one.
@CarsonSchifsky

The cabs are nice but on a smaller loader like this one can get top heavy
@JTM_djg

That thing slings some snow! I'm sure both the distance of the blower from the seat and how well it seems to perform helps not having the cab. I've been on smaller rigs that end up being pretty miserable if you're stuck blowing into the wind. Nice setup!
@CarsonSchifsky

Yes it’d be nice to have a cab! That’s why I say in a pinch if you had to use it in a commercial setting it’d be a decent setup it’s a cabin rig and works well though

I think it really comes down to what kind of a setting someone will be using it for. I plow mainly a condominium paved parking lot (and sidewalk areas). We have an almost 25 degree hill at the entrance that everyone was getting stuck on all winter long with a truck/plow. In addition, a truck/plow trying to get around all the parked cars and getting up close to the building garages and entrance doors just left a really undesirable snow plowing job. And so, I convinced all the owners to get rid of that maint company and to buy a john deere tractor w/ loader and I would take over the job. I then considered a snow blower vs a plow on it vs the loader and I am REALLY glad I just went with the loader. The ability to get right up to the building...to curl the bucket to really scrape down the driveway especially on the hill ...and just the ability to move snow around to different locations has made a WORLD of difference in a setting like this. In addition having the float position on the loader lets it much better hug the terrain as the driveway can be uneven in different parts. A snow blower wouldn't work for us because even at best, I think it leaves a layer of snow/ice and in an environment like this they have to be concerned about liability with people walking to their cars etc. If it was gravel drive though i'd probably go with the snow blower. But, in that setting it can be dangerous with lots of windows on the buildings. Probably in more of a country setting i'd go with a blower as well...as well as a longer stretch of drive. Although the loader really serves well as a plow too. As for a CAB...I just got finished installing one of these. www.originalcab.com/ HIGHLY recommended...works GREAT and let me put in a windshield wiper and little heater as well as i'm out for hours plowing. And just a fraction of the cost of a factory one. (1500.00 vs 5-6K ) check it out. not sure if they have one for that model JD though. Anyways...thanks for the video. I need SNOW here in New England. Only 1 storm so far this winter and my tractor is getting antsy. :)

A lot of our Katbota rigs have drag behind blowers. The auger faces the rear tires. They are very nice fo HOA's cause you can get super close to the garage door. Then the other Kabota's have Kages on them to clean the streets. Love the videos. Yes this winter sucks. Everyone else loves it but it costing me money.
