You haven't heard John until you've heard him sing "Help" live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. Put simply, the best live vocal ever performed.

The female singer is Lisa Edwards, she’s been a friend and back up singer for a long time to Farnsey. Thanks for the reaction. You should check out John Farnham singing a duet with the late Olivia Newtown John “please don’t ask me” live main event 1998

Thanks for reacting to John, he does indeed have a great voice! So much more to see of him - people love this one, I don't mind it, but there are definitely performances that show what he can do far better. Hope to see you do some more :) A couple of suggestions to get you started - 'Help!' with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, "You're The Voice" with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, "Playing To Win" from chain reaction concert.

There is no 's' at the end of Lindsay's name, it's just 'Field'. Plus it's Venetta. Both amazing backup singers and incredible in their own right. I fully agree Amazing Grace is extremely good.

Lisa Edwards has been with him sonce the beginning i think. She also had her own career before and during joining The John Farnham Band. She is amazingly powerful and keeps up with him easily as can be seen in this song. Lisa Edwards, Venetta Fields and Lindsey Field (no relation) are all legends in their own right and John has mafe sure they all have shared the spotlight.

He can be a really funny fella. always trying to get Lisa to loose it. But shes a pro and knkws his little tricks ...haha btw Farnham was active at least 5 or 6 years before Steve Perry, even though they are the same age. Farnham started out at 16 and had his first number 1 hit at 18. So if anything you might say, Perry sounded a bit like Farnham. But I personally don't think they sound very alike anyway. Other than that they both have powerful voices. John has way more range, texture and agility. A better comparison would be to Robert Plant

Thanks for the critique. We’ve tried all sorts of different ways to do our reactions. We’ve learned (the hard way) that we can’t make everyone happy so we’ve decided it’s best, and the most fun for us, when we’re just being ourselves. We understand that’s not for everyone.
