I'm a 50 year old Australian man. We didn't realise what we had in music in the 70's, 80's and 90's at the time. We took John Farnham, Cold Chisel and AC/DC for granted 😅😅 Only now do I realise how good they all were 😊

We took it all for granted. These bands were all playing in the pubs during my youth, and we had a great time. Even earlier than that, we had Australia's best bands play at our school dances (the LaDeDas, Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs etc.) We were spoilt rotten and it was wonderful.

@@vickiroman189 I would have loved that for you too Vicki... with John (especially this tour) everything you see is exactly what happened... every tour I saw (sometimes lucky enough to go multiple times) the night was the same if not better than the one previous. There is a reason why his band has dropped everything to join him on each tour, regardless of how much time has lapsed in between. John is a rocker from way back. He had so many concerts in australia that he sold out in Melbourne in hours. So, what’s better than to team a rocker with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. They did the whole concert and I’ve heard from those involved that they had a ball. This was the same night when John sang HELP after performing for two and a half hours.

As you said at 5:20, the band and orchestra are all obviously thoroughly enjoying themselves. It is always mentioned that John Farnhams Band is extremely tight knit. That also goes for new people brought in just briefly for gigs and concerts. John has something truly special about him that reels in gifted people and causes them to all be rediculously loyal to him to a fault. Each brings something special to the overall Band, and John has always deliberately pushed for each to be bolstered and recognised in their own right. His three backup singers, Lisa Edwards, Venetta Fields and Lindsey Field are the most die hard loyal to him of all.

Not bad after 2 tom3 hrs on stage You could see the respect the orchestra and conductor was having John always brings the best out of everyone and he always gives someone a solo as you see violins 🎻 If you loved that look up this one it's john's warmer up song Led zeppelin black dog amazing voice you may not fined a clip but definitely theirs a recording Now you see why Freddy from Queen wanted John to replace him when he was gone They wanted John do a audition with them which I think they talked him into but the problem was didn't want to be away from his friends and family the yurning for home was a bigger pull as he'd said in many interviews I'm not greedy I'm making a pretty penny here that will look after my family so that's the way he was many come to play with John Tom Jones many times Celine Dion Ray Charles Many bands as well He do a couple songs with them Cheers that's was one of my favourite but hard to tell if black dog beats it you tell me I think what you where trying to say the difference between AC/DC and john's versions that john's diction is super clean you hear every work crystal clear and if you notice he's playing it's not even challenging him 🤔 🦘🇦🇺👍

I've never heard anyone say that they came away from one of his concerts disappointed, but this one was special. I am so envious of everyone who was there. He did many of John's musical arrangenents. And he has written film scores for well know movies. I love every Farnsey song, not a dud note in any of them. He sings every genre you can think of.
