Oh Mike, please don’t apologise for being so moved! I just want to give you a huge hug. I still get goosebumps watching this - it reminds me of a simpler, happier time. I remember the Sydney 2000 Olympics vividly- we were all so excited to show off our city to the world.

You weren't crying alone, she was a beautiful gift to this world, despite fighting for her life for decades, she was always so sweet, kind and caring and did so much for cancer support here, and then we had her talent and beauty, she was very special as was her connection with john

This is what reactions are all about. Olivia looks so happy in this clip loving every minute of that performance and both their voices were on point. What a duo. No need for embarrassment ❤

I saw John and Olivia sing this at the 2000 Olympics rehearsal before the opening. It was every bit as good as this because they're true professionals.

G’day Mike. Thank you for your honest reaction to this film clip. It was very moving to watch both your reaction and the clip from the best Olympics ever!! They weren’t called the friendliest games for nothing. I remember watching this live at the time. It is really hard to watch both John and Olivia at the top of their careers, but what a song and the atmosphere must have been electric. I have rivers of tears running down my face and need a tissue, or ten, now, too. Keep up the good work, mate. With best wishes from Down Under 😘💕🇦🇺.

Oh I kept talking to you to look up so you could see her beautiful face in those moments.... but realised I was crying too. ((hugs)) Mikey. Those vocals were brilliant. Two genuinely beautiful humans. I must mention another Aussie artist who sang 'Hero's Live Forever' (very apt for John & Livey) Vanessa Amorosi was only 19 and I still don't know how she managed those ultra high notes and her breath control is on another level. Thanks so much for allowing us to share these moments with you....Happy New Year and may you receive all the blessings that the New Year brings.

G'day Mike , it's not embarrassing to show your motions , you show you care of people , we both have to deal with our Aspergers Syndrome (ASD) like Myself I can't show emotions I can't and never shown emotions or cry even when my wife past away after 25 years , it's not that I don't care or miss her as I do each day , it that I have never cried in my life as far as I remember , but Don let that stop you , you have a caring hart and we act in different ways 😢, keep going , Gary Bray

@JenniferNicholls-tf5yg 0 seconds ago He is a truly amazing man. I used to work in a hotel and unexpectantly John had to spend the night with us. He rang down to find out where he could iron a shirt. After talking for a few moments I told him that one of our receptionists was going to be devastated to have missed him as she ADORED him and that she would have happily iron every piece of clothing he owned. He asked me if I could call her for him. I called and got her Dad and told him that when I told her who was calling she would think I was joking so he had to reassure her it was true. When she came on the line I said her name and told her that I wanted to introduce her to her caller John Farnham, and before I went off line, I heard him say to her "So ........ I hear you take in ironing" HE TALKED WITH HER FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES. WHAT A GENTLEMAN AND STAR HE IS!!!!!!
