When I was a little girl my parents had prayer group in our home. 30 to 50 people would cram into our home each week. It was so comfortable and we followed the holy spirit, shared the scripture and many times someone would come with a dream or someone w ou old get healed. I've always yearned to have that again. Church seems so superficial to me. No one really kn nows what to do so they follow the standard protocols. Its so dry!

I have been filled with the Holy Spirit since 1983. No one has ever put the hierarchy of church politics the way you just explained. I have seen this over and over throughout my walk with Jesus. I also have experienced the left foot of fellowship, blamed accused and ostracized by church members, because I never seemed to fit in. At the moment I really do not want to go to church...it's just too painful. What the body of Christ can do to people in the "name of Jesus" is scary. With the performance oriented regime and compromises, everyone competing for position, back biting, slander, control and manipulation, It's daunting they can't see it! I want to just love my Jesus and minister to people on line and outside of church now.

I totally understand, yet I feel badly that I no longer want to attend anymore. I've never fit in anyway I'm neither political nor territorial. Also not into socializing much. I'm happy just talking and relating with the Lord on my own and also praying and ministering to people. Not sure if I'm wrong because scripture tells us not to neglect the fellowship of the brethren. ????

Yes go somewhere holy spirit, love and truth rules. A place that teach people to be filled with holy spirit and gifts. Anything else is dead religion. We have that problem in USA too. Religion fights holy spirit and does not lead to more freedom. Look how pharisees fought Jesus and miracles.

I am not political or territorial in any way, this explains alot. I was ostracized when I left a church and I Ieft because I didn't fit in. They didn't even know I left until the Outreach pastor saw me volunteering at a local Mission over a year later and then he had the church send me a letter saying I was no longer on the active members list. The thing is I wanted to be head of the food pantry at the church and I couldn't get anybody to call me back and they didn't want me in charge or responsible for anything in any Ministry because I'm a single woman in 46. All I wanted to do was serve and help people especially those who are in need. But they got mad and offended when they saw that I was volunteering at the local Christian Mission help the homeless even though they wouldn't let me do the same thing through the church. I was in shock when I received that letter a few days after seeing the Outreach pastor at the Mission. I wasn't as a high enough elevation to be part of the ministry's there but they also were angry that I was part of another Ministry after I left. I mean to not go to that church for over a year and then suddenly get that letter after I see the Outreach Pastor was just unbelievable. It was kind of like how dare you go and do some other Ministry and leave our church even though we didn't want you how dare you go somewhere else and find another way to serve. It was a real eye-opener. Thank you for making this video.

Wow, I had never looked at it from that perspective but it makes perfect sense and every bit of it has happened in our lives. We quit "church" years ago because of the politics, people jockeying shamelessly for positions, pressure and extreme emphasis over tithing, and much more. We never fit in, even though my wife was a pastor's daughter. In about 1974 I met with my pastor to explain that I had received an impartation and anointing in the prophetic. In the previous two years I had led 50 young people to the Lord in personal evangelism, was the guitarist in church, and was reading an average of 12 chapters a day. He leaned forward in his chair from behind his desk and said "Ricky, nobody is above the pastor. You know what your problem is? You're too heavenly minded to be any earthly good." It devastated me to the point I lost the prophetic anointing and I stopped witnessing and winning people to the Lord. I've felt like a leper in almost every church we've attended since then, although several were happy to use my musical gifting (for free, of course). I'm a recovering Messianic now - THANK YOU JOHN FENN!! Through all of this I've never lost my faith in God. It's amazing how this paradigm fits every church and every church member.

WOW! Thank you John, now… It all makes sense to me. I love people and I share Jesus when I can when I am out and about. But I always felt like a fish out of water in a church building. Not knowing what the "rules" are. I love the Lord so much, He has brought me through catastrophic personal tragedies. I've never felt closer to the Lord when then when I am alone and in prayer/worship. I know Melissa, midnight our oil, had mentioned your name a few times. This morning I prayed and I asked the Lord please Lord let me find something good to watch on KZitem, instead of all the bad news of how we are head rushing into an oblivion thru Geo political as well as natural catastrophes and their causes. Aliens, nephlims, implants, just to name a few. I am so grateful you popped up first thing when I opened KZitem this morning. I think today and from now on as much as possible I really need to start my day with your videos, so encouraging John… Words simply can't grab onto what I'm trying to convey to you. Very good insight and from God. I have never felt at peace in any organized 'church' setting. Needed growth can come through discipleship. I recently thought that one important reason I am this way, is that when I was saved - born-again- the LORD Jesus revealed himself to me out on a city street - with no one around. Not with other people, and not in a church service. Hierarchy in organized church is definitely tainted. I have heard one lesson about the warning regarding the Nicolaitians in Revelation - these are the ones who suppress the laity

Lord guided me to find your online church and now I am following your updated message. I went astray for 10years till Lord called me out for Bible Study Fellowship which I never heard before. I fell out from the church I had served for 14years as a minister in South Korea because of their corruption and political issue always there. I've tried many church in UK last 10 years but never fit in as you said. I set up bible study group with my local friends last year 2019 summer when my business supplier went to bankrupt. These friends don't go church because they felt the same, but loved to learn bible and Jesus. Now we are building our community church through zoom study and gathering our home in turn :) This is my calling from Lord to build churches outside of church organization. free from denomination. Thank you Lord you provided this shelter so that your children can grow in your presence in our home and community. Thank you for your obedience to the Lord :)

Beautifully put. I have found a more amazing relationship with the Lord out of church. The question is how to serve if we are too isolated.
@CWOWI
6 жыл бұрын
Hi Watchwoman, thanks for writing. How to serve...the 4 spheres of relationships in the NT are: Family, friends, neighbors, coworkers. The 5th is the 'person of peace'. This last group is peaceful towards you, they don't know about your Jesus, just that they are peaceful towards you. Examples are from the Luke 10:3-9 where Jesus says to find a person of peace, eat, drink, stay with them - get to know them. Then in v8 get to know their neighbors, eat, drink, stay with - get to know THEM. THEN, and only then, does He say in v9: "And heal the sick therein." Not until then does the gospel enter the relationship. Up until then it is getting to know one another, liking each other, spending time together - healing can refer to physical of course, but more often than not it is emotional healing that first happens, wisdom for life, ideas, guidance and opinion that are godly even if that person doesn't know the Source. So i would examine those 5 categories - remember that 'serving' the Lord does't appear very spiritual to the church minded person. But to the New Testament realities minded person it is perfect. Jesus said in Matthew 25 when He returns He is looking for those who fed, clothed, watered, visited the hungry, naked, thirsty, sick and in prisoned. Very simple, very down to earth, very mundane...yet very spiritual. Consider Acts 9 how they cried when Dorcas died, showing Peter all the amazing clothes she had sewn for them. Think of the men and women in Exodus who built the tabernacle - wood workers, seamstresses, metal workers, jewelers and so forth - all very spiritual, yet all very normal, work with the hands, mundane work. Start with what and who you have around you - and if you're very isolated, apply those principles to your Internet friends and family... Hope that helps... John

We went to a larger church and we loved the pastor and our Sunday school teacher. But the church was well-established and they had all kinds of clicks. We never quite fit in. Everybody was nice but they kept us at a distance. We started going to a new church and I’m starting to see clicks among the people that work at the church versus the members. I went to Wednesday night Bible study last night and a young lady was leading the group at our table and I wanted to stab my eyes out because you could tell that she had a “I’m better than you“ personality.

We've been given the right boot of fellowship a few times, figuratively speaking. I wouldn't mind except that the Bible wants us assembling ourselves, so we keep trying, but even in small groups, most do not know the scriptures, especially the Old Testament, which is needful in these last days. We don't want to be contentious, critical or prideful, but to function in the gifts and judge the words of the prophets requires discernment and ability to speak freely in love. And that is simply not appreciated or tolerated by most leadership. May God bless his true Church and may the Bride make herself ready, dressed in pure white, as we move toward our Wedding.

It seems to me also, that the church does not want a person/people with the gift of discernment of spirits - period. The theology is so messed up today, that words like sin and hell are judging, critical words, even from hearts filled with love. I know that even warning Pastors, of a spirit of Leviathan, is not taken seriously, even when that vision is given clearly, about another person in leadership with children - and not even having knowledge that there is a spirit of Leviathan until it was revealed. It's grievous to me, and I'm sure, many in the body of Christ that see people we love in leadership, that will not heed the warning of the Lord. That too, makes people want to leave church - when people in leadership are courting the occult, and the Pastors let them lead.

Just burnt out as I’m 4 years in the Lord through divine PERSONAL,me and Him appointment, religion has sent me by choice through pride??? To the desert which is lonely but HE is here with me 😭 The friends I had to walk away from through church hurt to get closer to Him and what He is showing me as man almost had me swayed,it is hard but worth it To KNOW Him,to experience Him crushes it to garbage I count it all as garbage!!! But to KNOW Him!!!at ALL costs Jesus is amazing!!!!! “But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.” Philippians 3:7-11

My wife and I have noticed a lot of cliques in nearly every church we've attended. You're either in or you're out. The clique will follow the pastor around like a puppy dog. It's like a popularity contest. Many of those who are not popular are neglected spiritually and those who point out the clique are passively shunned. I love them as my brothers and sisters in Christ and I'd rather not gripe at the church but it drives us up a wall.

Churchianity opposes christianity. With its political structure, performance based showmanships, leads people to be more self achieving than service driven. Healthy fellowshipping/real relations become difficult when people care more about their professional leadership image than the souls needs. It seems everyone is a leader of something and I rather be a follower, seated at the feet of The Lord. Thank you for your channel.

Excellent. I thought it was just me. I love Jesus. The Bible. Running into Christians on the job or street and having highly encouraging fellowship. But then I go the brick corporate buildings on Sunday and I leave lonely, despirited, deflated, and empty. Like I just went to watch a second or third rate performance put on by paid Church professionals. Thank you John

Also in major cities, the church relies on social services for everything. You can live across the street from the church sick and in bed and out of work, and no one would think to come by with a bag of groceries - they just want you to go to well-fare even though you never ever had went to gov't for assistance. Everything is about social services with the church.

❤..Thank you for this video .. it explains a lot and is very comforting to realize. 🙏...Now prayers since extremely isolated no means to move .. not wise to go out .. as Scripture says "two by two" for a reason .. so reach out with nurturing life ministry blog spot. ❤📖❤

I am at a church now, that I was in before, but the pastor didn't believe in the rapture. So I left. And came back 3 yes later finding out they got a new pastor. But when I came back they voided my membership. Now I feel like they don't want me there. And they have clicks in this church and don't reach out to new people coming into this church. I am praying and asking God what to do.

Hi Susan, thanks for writing, sorry I'm just seeing this now - busy month. Some thoughts though; When you left that church for what turned out to be 3 years, didn't you expect them to have voided your membership? Why then are you surprised, for in that system, that is what they do. So that leads to the next - who cares if they voided your membership or not? Are there not others in attendance who are not registered members? If you have a mind to go there, then go. But with your history, they may not be eager to include you in the membership, but you are free to attend I do believe. The other thought and advice would be this: You were immature to leave that church because that pastor didn't believe like you do on the subject. I don't know of a single pastor in which every person in the church agrees 100% with their pastor on everything. So the advice would be to accept that fact, that you aren't going to agree 100% on everything, and either settle and be there, or leave. Remember the old adage, that there is no such thing as a perfect church, because people are in it. Hope it helps, John

@@CWOWI I want to know why I had to be a member to volunteer for service at the church, when I was living in another city I just had to have a backround check?

@@susanmartinez1346 I don't know your church, but I can guess their policy just from experience. First, if you want to represent them then you need to be a member. They evidently have some pledge or application for membership, which means it is a way of knowing you. Then, if members want to volunteer you must get a background check. This is normal procedure nowadays for volunteers, with background checks being policy of most churches for at least the last 20 years or so. It protects the church and those a person wants to serve. Unfortunately it is often needed in today's society. But in truth - scripture says to go to the person you are at odds with, so that is what I suggest for you - go to them and learn why they do what they do. Blessings, John

I've wondered about this, thanks so much for your explanation! I wonder too about how the temple system should look in today's world. Is it the network of house churches? I have never been a part of a house church so I don't have a good idea of how this works. Do you have a video or resource that can enlighten me on this?
