The drummer is Kenny Aronoff, who has played for many, including John Mellencamp during his peak period in the 1980's and early 1990's.

Aronoff knows how to play drums but sadly he's "overplaying" this tune. He should let the song breathe. He's also rushing thru the song. He could have kept the song simple and tight. Now he's all over the place. Perfect example of not playing the song but his instrument.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with his voice!! He sings without the rough edge, his voice has become smoother, but it sounds wonderful. He doesn't sound 67, he sounds 27. He is weathering very well. Lucky us!!!!

Far beyond Creedence's best song...it's one of the best songs of all time. Hard to find any song that is as original and rocks as hard as this one. Mega influential on a certain breed of guitarist.

dang i was never really a fan but i must say that his licks from the 2 minute mark to the 5:45 mark are a guitar gently weeping and brought me to tears....so simple but so powerfully emotional....guitar playing like that just doesnt exist any longer...i am proud to have been young in the 70s...

The older brother of the drummer in the band we were in , bought this album home when he returned for Vietnam. This is the very first song that he played on this monster Marantz stereo system that he also bought back with him. Shook the whole house. We were Blown away. Of course we would play in the band for years. Still remember that amazing moment fall of 1970 RIP Gerry a Ghost Rider from 101st Airborn Thanks to John Fogerty for all the GREAT music!

I LOVE this song! The middle part I consider a 'soulsong' and it could stand by itself. He still plays it just GREAT with a few little improvisations since the original which I have and it is stupendous. In fact, I'd like to see a release of it with some interesting 'greater' improvisations. It could be a whole album side...

John's still got it but the original was pure and sweet - these other guys are just going through the motions. Cosmo's Factory had soul - that album will live forever. John's hair seems darker than when CCR was in London back around 1970 - amazing!!!
