Gonna timestamp the questions cause why not: 1. 0:01 During your teenage years, did you have any other interests besides music? 2. 2:10 John are you aware that your music helps and inspires people? If so, how do you feel about it? 3. 3:21 How do you choose the songs you cover, as you have covered a wide variety of genres of music? 4. 7:21 What ambitions do you have for the future with your music and your music with the Chili Peppers? 5. 7:54 Is there anybody in particular you would absolutely love to make a song with like you did Tricky a while back? 6. 9:22 Would you give us a brief summary of when the individual songs on Niandra and Smile were recorded? 7. 15:02 Is there any way we could see the film by Toni Oswald about you? The one from which the cover of Niandra LaDes is taken. Could you tell us about it? 8. 16:23 What bottle did you carry around during all of the Funky Monks video and why do you brush your teeth so much? 9. 18:06 Do you have any albums that were never released from after you quit the band? If so, would you ever think about making it available to fans, possibly through the internet? 10. 18:44 I find that every time I listen to your music I feel or experience something new. If you had to choose one band or musician that has had a simmilar effect upon your life, who would it be? 11. 20:17 Was wondering what are the chances of the side project you , Flea and Omar did ever getting released? 12. 21:24 Do you plan on releasing an album with all the new material you were coming up with at the performance shows? 13. 22:00 Since you recorded roughly 30 songs for By The Way, any chance you and the guys have ever contemplated releasing a double CD ever in the future? 14. 22:46 What is your advice for someone who is starting out as a guitarist? How do you suggest they play? What is the most crucial aspect of playing or developing? 15. 27:16 Who is your all time biggest musical influence? 16. 30:08 Do you ever watch movies, read or just see something and get inspired to write a song based on it? 17. 32:15 Is there anywhere I can see more of your paintings? 18. 33:17 Who are some of your favourite artists besides Duchamp, Basquiat and Da Vinci? 19. 34:46 Do you have to be depressed to write a sad song? Do you have to be in love to write a love song? 20. 38:04 During your time away from the Chilli Peppers did ever you think you would get back together with them and that things would be as successful as they are now? If not, how does it feel? 21. 41:08 Do you have an upmost favourite guitar track that you love to play more than any other? 22. 42:25 Are there any plans for you to come to England to perform any of your solo stuff in the near future? 23. 43:01 Do you think people downloading music for free or not buying is as big of a problem as people say? 24. 44:51 Do you plan to play some new stuff with the Peppers on the upcoming European Tour? 25. 45:20 Can you tell us what was your inspiration behind some of your new songs? 26. 47:34 Were all these songs written around the same time? 27. 50:20 Can you tell me something about the process of how you pick a certain guitar for a certain piece of music? 28. 53:03 What did you want or what did you get for your birthday? 29. 55:08 I would like to know whether you belief in God has any effect on the music you write? Do you think God inspires you at all? 30. 58:30 (Subject of first takes) I was just wondering if your solo music has ever come up in this way? 31. 1:03:43 What is the process you go through when writing a song? Do the words, melody or harmony come to you first or at the same time? 32. 1:07:59 Do you think it's interesting that Bob Forest discovered you and Josh Klinghoffer and now you and John are really god friends? What does Bob think of this? 33. 1:09:22 What are some of the things that you and the Peppers tease eachother about or funny things you guys joke about? 34. 1:09:58 (Not read out loud) Have you written any music with Vincent Gallo? 35. 1:10:09 What RHCP track are you most proud of? 36. 1:10:54 What do you think of Santa Monica? 37. 1:12:35 How did your dipping into technical core and how many structures lately affected your song writing process? Is it more fomulated or does it rely mostly on jamming or improv? 38. 1:14:53 Why at the performance (three) show, what caused you to walk of stage? 39. 1:17:47 (The person is happy that they've discovered Captain Beefheart [...] and King Crimson thanks to John) Do you have any recomendations of people you have discovered or are getting into? 40. 1:19:14 (While continuing the previous question) Do you have any B-sides that are some of you favourites? 41. 1:21:23 What is your favourite flavour of ice cream? 42. 1:23:45 Is there any chance of lyrics from The Sounds Inside being published? 43. 1:24:16 What movies or artist are you into at the moment, if any? 44. 1:26:23 I've always felt this translucent energy emit when you play an [...] overwhelming [solo]. Have you ever experienced this sort of sensation in any particular of your performances? (What do you feel when you play?) 45. 1:29:51 Out of all the music that we've heard on you solo albums, is there a favourite track [for you]? 46. 1:30:37 Is Lou Bergs the writer or rather a being you've met somewhere? 47. 1:30:49 Do you think music is the key to the universe or at least that as humans it's the only way we can understand it? 48. 1:32:55 I'm asking this, because you've said that music flows through you from a language of spirits. I was wondering if the spirits have the answears and are you trying to give them to the rest of the world? 49. 1:35:29 I've noticed a few songs have a theme of rethinking your past such as Regret. I remember reading in past interviews that you weren't embarassed about your heroin days. But are you feeling differently nowadays as stated through these songs or are you regreting something else? 50. 1:40:41 What are the names of your cats? 51. 1:43:32 You mentioned you have been using your handwriting a lot lately. I was wondering why? Have you got any reasons? Sorry it is not a music related question. 52. 1:44:52 Why don't you play material from One Hot Minute? I'm hoping that you give a different answear because it's a John-to-fan response, rather than a John-to-magazine response. 53. 1:48:04 John, have you ever written a love song? 54. 1:50:31 Your music is all about purity, but it doesn't seem like you write about people much. Are you interested in people? 55. 1:55:41 John, do you think that dedicating your life to making music is enough? 56. 2:00:03 Do you ever listen to the band Fish? 57. 2:01:23 Do you see the Chili Peppers or yourself getting deeper into improvisational territory? 58. 2:05:05 Did you have a guitar teacher when you were younger? How long did you have lessons? I want to be a guitarist but I don't think I'm going the right way about it. 59. 2:18:26 When do you find yourself most able to be creative and how do you mantain it in order to best capture that creative spark? I was wondering this because I don't play anything but sometimes I have a hard time keeping my grasp on what it is I'm trying to put down in physical when I'm drawing it from what it is in my mind. Thank you. 60. 2:24:02 Will you do a tour for some of your albums in the future? 61. 2:25:21 Can you tell me something about the process of how you pick a certain guitar for certaing piece of music? 62. 2:28:12 I was wondering what effects do you add to the guitar to make those interesting textural sounds? How do you practice as a singer getting a bigger range? 63. 2:34:35 Do you think you'll release Omar, Flea and Prog-Rock songs on a label or just put them on the internet? 64. 2:35:00 John, where do you get all your inspiration for making and creating music from? That's all folks!

John Frusciante has a portal in his brain that connects to something beyond humanity… like a radio that receives messages from another dimension. And we’re lucky to be alive at the same time as him. I also find it refreshing to hear someone who’s cleaned up their life reminisce about drugs without referring to them as evil life-ruining things, and simply as choices they made instead.

At about 7 minutes when he's talking about covering songs that meant a lot when he felt alone during his drug use hits me hard. I love John and RHCP but what I really want is to be able to convey and process how I felt during my own lengthy heroin and meth addiction that took a lot from me and I haven't done it yet.....but I know if I ever do achieve it it will be the most powerful and therapeutic thing I've ever done 😥

I’m working on the same thing right now. Started taking opioids when I was 17, was doing heroin by my 18th birthday then heroin and crack and only got clean when I was 29. I feel like I’ve been through entire lifetimes worth of suffering sometimes like I know what hell really feels like and if I could somehow express how I got out of that hole and some of the depths of despair it might help some people.

john is one of my favorite guitarists in one of my favorite bands of all time. i don’t like the fact he comes and goes the way he has. imo, John truly believed RHCP wouldn’t survive without him. twice…im sure they have this all figured out as friends. i’m glad he’s back. he’s back because, again, he’s thinking of his legacy. good. shoulda stayed with the MFRHCP …no excuses Mr. “i jumped off the walls of my apt when i got in RHCP” ONE HOT MINUTE is one of their absolute HOTTEST records. my favorite . johnnys albums are more artistic and spiritual perhaps. but to REFUSE to play songs like AEROPLANE , etc…? john can really be full of BS
