My wife and I used to drive up to Bethlehem to hear John play at Godfrey Daniels, he's been a regular at the Philly Folk Fest and a couple times he played in our back yard at the Churchville Nature Center. He's a wonderful songwriter and a really gentle human. Easy to love. This concert brought back a ton memories and created some new ones. Thanks for putting this out there.

I consider John a master of modern songwriting. True in time is a testament to that. As well as the score of others. Thx for being a true legend for me John.

Hi, John. During many stops along the road, no doubt many of us fans are but a blur. I was so grateful for opening one of your shows at The Rocking Horse in Scottsdale, AZ. You were delayed due to a major snow storm in Chicago, or somewhere else in the midwest, buried in snow. The crowd was gracious to me during our wait for your arrival. You did arrive. After your long trip and the show, my husband and I drove you to a hotel where you were to stay before leaving the next morning for yet again another stop in your tour. It was sometime between 1993 and 1995. After your harrowing experience you endured while trying to get to the gig, you, nevertheless, treated us to a heartfelt, engaging, memorable performance. You meant so much to me then. And here, in 2021, you still do. Thank you, John.

My first concert was seeing John Gorka at Anderson Fair in Houston, TX. 1988. My dad took me along because we listened to "I Know" in the car all the time, I was 8 years old. This played a huge role in my developing a love of music. I remember his in between song banter was hilarious; like it could have been a comedy bit without the music, in particular I remember him talking about his guitar may explode if he played the songs in the wrong order so he would have to listen to the guitar in between songs to make sure it wasn't going to blow. I had never been so entertained in my life, still one of the best shows I ever saw (Neil Young with Booker T and the MGs was the best).

John is the real deal - a singer-songwriter who pours his soul into his art. I've seen him a few times and hope to see him again.

Went to my first live show since the pandemic. Songwriter in the round and John was one of the performers. He's an old favorite. It was like butter on hot toast. Thanks for posting this show. Its an excellent recording.

I’ve been playing his songs in coffeehouses and bars ever since I heard “I saw a Stranger with Your Hair” on some sort of folk compilation on cassette. One of my favorite folk singers- soothing, compelling, thought provoking tunes that stand the test of time.

I had that same compilation on CD. That song stood out and drew me to Gorka's music and lyrics. One of my favorite songs ever.

Thanks for this video. It's always great to be in John's presence, even though it's only on my t.v.! We've seen him live many times in small venues like this -- the best! As gentle and thoughtful as he is, he's got a vice for a handshake I always say. My favorite singer-songwriter.

Haha! I lived in New Jersey when I was very young and I still have certain words that sounds Jersey. I heard/saw John in Palmer, Alaska at a quaint little cafe called Vagabond Blues some years ago along with Eliza Gilkyson. Blue Chalk is my favorite!
