Sir Elton has done everything in his fabulous career an artist could ever wish for...but how heartwarming to hear him still to this day talk in total awe of the Beatles and with such enthusiasm for all his memories...what a beautiful interview...

It sounds like too much of praise for John Lennon, but I am convinced Elton John meant every single word. Good questions, now I know both men better.

A journalist would have said, "Oh, what naughty things? Can you give an example?" But this is the guy's Dad so he just leaves it there. Which is kinda sweet.

As a Beatles Fan and a fan of each of the four people who made up the group, I have to ask, is any one still angry at John's death? I mean some deranged asshole robbed society of a man, a talent, a spokesman for peace from us all. I still remember what I was doing when I heard about John and his meaningless passing. I'm not a violent man but if there is a hell I hope the man who robbed us all burns for all time.

Amazing interview. I read somewhere that the inspiration for Whatever Gets You Through The Night (the initial chord sequence anyway) was Rock Your Baby by George McCrae, which was all over radio at that time and which Lennon reportedly liked a lot and said he wished he had written it.

It could possibly be sexual. John had been known to experiment with men. After going through the bootleg Beatles anthology it looks like he had a relationship with Brian Epstein

I thought the song Lennon done with Elton was just like an Elton song if u know what I mean! It suited Elton a lot more than John but I guess that's the genius of John as he was obviously writing it with Elton in mind..
