@@BrekMartin With "Imagine", John Lennon created a real peace hymn that goes straight to the heart. You can feel the longing in every word, the longing for a world without hate and greed, where all people are one family. Listening to Lennon's gentle, dreamy voice, you can see this utopia in your mind's eye for a moment - an earth without borders, where everyone welcomes everyone with open arms. A paradisiacal place where it is not wealth and possessions that count, but compassion and community. "Imagine" is a musical call to jump over one's own shadow and to throw old enemy images and prejudices overboard. Despite all the suffering in the world, one should not give up hope that man is capable of great things. Lennon invokes that peace is possible if only we open our hearts. With this song, he embraces all of humanity, so to speak, and whispers in our ears: Imagine that there is only love. A poignant dream worth fighting for. "Imagine" wants to keep the flame of confidence alive. That even the greatest darkness can become light when people of good will stand together. A musical manifesto of hope and compassion. *You obviously have little to zero compassion!*

I was returning with my father in the car after a long day at work. That same day while I was working in the pub I heard this song on the radio that made me fall in love, so in the car I decided to put it on my phone to listen to it while we went home. After putting it on my dad starts crying silently so I ask him what was wrong. He begins to tell me that he always listened to this song with his older cousin in the 70s. He described her as a beautiful girl, very sweet but who unfortunately was repressed by her mother throughout her adolescence. She was forbidden to laugh too much, or to have feelings of a certain kind. My father fought to make her live, to make her feel feelings even just through a song like "Imagine" by John Lennon. It was all they had in a way. Obviously after a while their lives separated and my father went to live in Buenos Aires. One day he receives a letter from Alicia, his cousin. Where she tells him that she was able to experience a bit of life, that she was able to understand what she was talking to him about while they dreamed listening to this song. Shortly afterwards she dies in a car accident in Resistencia. at 23 years old. A girl who was just beginning to look out the window of Life. Sometimes it's incredible how little time we have to enjoy life and how important every moment can be. And how many stories there can be behind a song like this. I will never forget this story.

while i appreciate the sentiment towards what i consider one of the best songs ever written, I can't help but to notice a contradiction in your statement. This song explicitly states that this ideal world that John imagines, has no religion. I am not saying that you can't enjoy this song or anything just saying that the contradiction exists.

3:55 the atomic clock is ticking; all the stock-piled weapons of mass destruction…just waiting for a madman ‘s finger on the button. Meanwhile, our accelerated burning of fossil fuels for wars born of greed & hubris have forced catastrophic climate change creating 2023, the hottest year on our planet since we started recording temperatures. Only the unification of humanity can reverse our self-destruction. As a species, we can cooperate in building an international space station, telescopes that can look back in time to the origin of our galaxy; we can edit our own genetic code and ultimately the version of Homo sapiens created by intelligent design that will have superior intelligence without greed, arrogance and suicidal compulsion and can further advance the preservation and biodiversity of Earth, the planet mother of Life. Life- a mathematically improbable event…but. It did happen here! If we blow it, we blow it, we go the way of the dinosaurs, but life goes on. New species evolve and one day, they will surpass everything we ever achieved.
