St. Peters Church in Woolton, Liverpool, is the place where famously John Lennon was introduced to Paul McCartney on 6th July 1957. This church is where John Lennon and his friends, Pete Shotton and Nigel Walley, were in the church choir.
As well as the choirboys, John's other friends from the Quarrymen, Rod Davis, Ivan Vaughan, and Eric Griffiths also attended Sunday School from a very young age. The lads also went on to attend Youth Club, which enabled them to be allowed to perform at the famous St. Peter's Annual Garden Fete on 6th July 1957.
Come inside St. Peters Church to see the church where John Lennon and his friends were regulars.
