John Locke | Empiricism | Primary and Secondary Qualities | Lectures by Waqas Aziz
John Locke was an empiricist. He rejected the concept of innate ideas. He argued that mind was a Tabula Rasa. All the knowledge and ideas come from experiences. Sensations and Reflections are the primary sources that build our knowledge and ideas. He also divided ideas into Simple and Complex Ideas. Moreover, he created a distinction between primary and secondary qualities. According to him, secondary qualities give rise to disagreements about the perceptions of outside world.
This lecture explains John Locke's Empiricism in detail.
