I'd like to complain a little bit about the word "dating" because it sounds like a calendar event.
I don't know why we define a relationship as a "date." You might do something on a particular date, but that doesn't describe what you did, and if you're thinking about dating, maybe you could substitute "making friends". Maybe you could talk about friendship, building a meaningful relationship with somebody - that's what young people need to do in their university and college days. That's the time when you make friends, and you find out the kind of characteristics and qualities of a person that you would desire in a lifetime mate.
Get beyond the date idea - that's a calendar thing! Think about "how can I build meaningful relationships with other believing young people around me that will help me understand the best kind of person for me as a life partner." When you begin to find people that seem to be in that particular zone, that's when you want to make a date to get a little deeper into understanding who they really are.
