Just awesome, two people totally connected, no overdubs, no autotune, real musicianship.

Such a wonderful performance : John's slurred after hours vocals, intuitive musical relationship with Danny, imbued with a folk/blues/jazz vibe, and the constant mantra 'solid air' referencing the late great Nick Drake -make this a special song. Always performed differently by John. Never tire of hearing this eternally transcendal song of love and loss

This is so sublime! no backing tracks, no need for pro tool voice software, just two wonderful musicians intuitively connectiing with each other - raw emotion and muscianship combining to create greatness that conects to the soul. When my mother died, and I tearfully stood by her grave as the coffin was lowered 6 feet deep into the ground, this song came into my mind, as I emotionally experienced the impossibility of the human condition - personal loss of the one that one most loved - and vowed I would love and follow my mother through death, through time and etermity, through solid air..!

I stand corrected in that I used to think without taking anything away from Nick Drake how much of a student he was to John I acknowledge that only be becoming more educated by people like Danny Thompson who explain very important insights into just what was so special about John's later music for me I didn't think the Album Bless The Weather could maybe even can be surpassed so very dear I hold not just the music but the words educate and make sense not just of the give in life but the take that hurts so very much in his interpretation his words let me know at least one person knows what my lifechas been about now 58 years old somewhere between heaven and hell John found his sweet spot to give so much back it doesn't matter what mistakes he made in life I know so very much now to know its not just the amazing times but also the times that hurt if in anyway you can interpret them to be able to live with them John's Genius probable saved my life by his interpretation probably JUST NOW ....is so special a true man and such a wise man to write such a song I really put him alone in a box with Dylan to be so sad I never seen John live....thankfully I did see Dylan

They hadn’t been talking for a while before this having fallen out over something trivial! Danny advised the show producer that he’d better check that John was OK with him playing. Their musical bond was peerless.
