This was one of those 'dreamt up in the pub' ideas - on the longest day of the year, leave the northernmost point of the UK at sunrise and try and get to the southernmost point before sunset. (Yes, I know JOG isn't technically the northernmost point, but it's what most people count as it).
Completed in convoy with a couple of friends.
FAQ:
Q: How long did this take in total?
A: Total driving between JOG and LE was just under 13 hours, plus about half an hour either end getting from and to hotels. Total round trip was about 1900 miles over the course of 3 different days.
Q: How many stops?
A: Only a couple. Stopped at Tesco in Carlisle for a quick fill-up and then stopped at Stafford services for lunch. The Passat did very well for being comfortable for hours on end.
