To all my fellow TMS sufferers, I would heavily recommend the KZitem Channel 'Pain Free You' where the host, Dan Buglio, goes into more depth into John Sarno's work and has two helpful websites.

His free KZitem videos are a godsend , I heard him on and off since last year but two weeks ago he talked about there is nothing to fix and it hit me, like a light bulb was lit in my head. I told my self he is right there is nothing to fix , but still it creeps up and I end up into the habit of trying to fix my self. So thank you for reminding me to go back I will listen to that video everyday until my body and mind understand there is nothing to fix!

I had chronic pain for years. I had my c4 and c5 replaced around 10 years ago but still suffer from horrible tension headaches. I take acetimenophin butalbatal (Fioricet) to make the pain subside but I know thats just a quick fix. I know that I am a person whos afraid of change and what others think of me. I feel that this brings on these tensiin headaches and I'm hoping that Dr. Sarnos book will help bring me some relief. Excited to read it in the next couple of weeks.

Good luck. It took a while for me...~3 months of integrating it into my sub-conscious but gave me back a normal life. Fortunately I had a very smart friend encouraging me based on how it helped him. That helped because he is a very logical person whom I respect. You can find a lot of recovery stories online to help you.

@@biancaol6968 Do know if you figured it out yet. The biggest thing is you need to be open minded and buy into the idea that his theory works. Also, the mistake I made was to stop doing the day to day homework. This stuff really works, but stick to Sarno's teachings and stay away from the naysayer's and you will be pleasantly surprised with your results.

Hello! So I recently just learned about TMS. It has been affecting my back for about a year now. The pain has been pretty rough and until recently, I thought there was something structurally wrong with my back. Now that I realize this, I have returned to normal activities like running and stretching. I have noticed that my pain almost "resets". So ill go and sit cross-legged which originally is a position I thought id never sit in again. So when I start sitting cross-legged it hurts really bad but then the pain eases away. Next, ill go into a child pose and the same thing happens pain is there and goes away. during this time of me stretching I am able to go back to sitting cross-legged and in child's pose effortlessly with no pain but as a go about my day, maybe 30 minutes later and try its back to the same thing with the pain almost "resetting" and I have to do it all over again. My question is, if I just keep doing this and telling my body it's ok to do this will it eventually stop hurting and the resetting will stop? It's hard pushing through it 5-10 times a day and is mildly discouraging but I don't let it stop me. How can I stop this resetting and live a pain-free life from waking up to going to sleep? Thank you!

You need to ask yourself these questions. 1. How do you treat yourself emotionally? I bet you treat other nicely but not youself. You tell yourself that you need to achieve this and that and don't give yourself enough joy times, emotional self care,... 2. What situations create anxieties and worries? What keeps my mind stuck? 3. Can I feel all emotions? Why am I blocking them? and so on...
