I remember hearing this on the radio for the first time....I bought the 45 as soon as it came out. I still have it. I love this just as much in 2019 as I did in 1979.

Thank heaven for October and November 1979, when Midnight Wind was popular. Personally speaking, they were monumentally phenomenal months. Replace 'Miranda' with Juanita, Roxanne, Terry, whosoever. There's nothing quite like this song.

it's spring 1983,me and my wife were expecting our first child.we wanted a girl.we had her first name picked out about three months before she was born ''Holly''.one morning as i hit the light switch on a the dairy barn [it turned the radio on at the same time] this song was playing,five seconds after i hit the light switch the words ''come on down ''Maranda'' is what i heard. THAT'S WHEN I KNEW WHAT HER MIDDLE NAME WAS GOING TO BE! HOLLY MARANDA OLSON.She'll be 39 may 30 first 2022.
