It's obvious that when we have a director, star, producer, and supporting cast who all love their craft and want to make a quality product, it shows. We have one of the best action movies in recent memory all because of their dedication and mastery of their art. It resurrected Keanu's career, graced the silver screen with a reminder of how it's done, and gave us cinema's next great badass. Thank you, cast and crew of John Wick. When Stahelski at 5:53 said he didn't eat cut-cut-cut I was so happy. I absolutely love action movies but their fault is always using so many angles and cuts to make it seem cool that you can't really see the one-on-one fight but just flashes. The whole reason John Wick has become my favorite movie of all time is because they do the opposite, you see the action and the effort and the realism to it. It just hits me to the core watching the movie, I loved the directing but this BTS just shows me more of what I love and how they got to the point of making an epic movie that honestly has set a standard for how action should really be like.
@IINEXUSGAMERII

I know! It’s so seamlessly executed! And I love the combination of effects (like the sounds) and the acting aspect, how they really made it look genuinely painful, and difficult to recover from. It very nearly hurts just to watch; makes me wince like heck...which I’m is exactly what they want! One problem you see sometimes is that people will take really big hits onscreen yet don’t seem to react to it nearly as substantially as they should. Thumbs up to them (directors, choreographers, actors, etc.) here and in other scenes of the movie for showing that sense of impact!

3:00 Darrin, the stunt coordinator claimed Keanu Reeves killed 6000 people in the club. We can understand this under two aspects: 1. Darrin was joking about the scene being a bloodbath of Russians and Ricochets, with the kill count being almost endless. 2. He meant it literally. Back in the scene of Francis the Bodyguard during their dialogue, the word “Sixty” out of “over sixty pounds” were marked. This means Francis was informing John of the amounts of security he will have to face once within the vicinity of the club. We also know that Keanu Reeves wanted to shoot this scene perfectly, and won’t stop until that is achieved. Darrin may actually mean that they reshoot the scene 100 times; or at least nearly 100 times. Now do the math: 60 Guards multiplied by 100 equals 6000. Darrin maybe wasn’t lying after all. Tl;dr: The Stunt Coordinator’s claim of getting 6000 guards killed on the club scene can either be dismissed as a joke, or can be understood that they reshooted the scene so many times that when they are finished, the John Wick kill count rose to 6000 on that scene alone.
