I love how Mr. Nobody is a quintessential American street assassin. His tools are all American made stuff (the bulletproof backpack is marketed at students for school shootings, and the quick draw protector is ALSO marketed for sudden active shooters just in public, and his gun is a Marlin Model 1894) he uses boxing as his main hand to hand martial art, and he just speaks English. He isnt a fancy James Bond type like John speaking every language and knowing every culture with his hyper fancy bullet proof suit, hes just a hired American gun.

I just like to think he was never in a family or in any of the criminal syndicates underneath them. Just a guy with a finely honed talent for killing and tracking, who came across the underworld because, well, they're fucking everywhere. He probably got hired by someone wronged by someone underneath the Table or got wind of a bounty that he shouldn't have. He's Nobody to the table, he erased his own history, and crowbarred his way into the assassin's world with detective skills. That would be why he had that notebook with drawings and answers about people he's clearly never encountered, but even John didn't know about.

Longest runtime in any John Wick movie, yet simultaneously the best. Every time one's trailer came out, people found something to hate on before they watched it. Everyone compared this to John Wick 1, which was barely 2 hours. Yet this had all the cinematography and story of 1, with unparalelled action. Apparently Chapter 3 was cut short and would have been much more akin to this one if they let all the story scenes in. They said they turned the film into a movie. So the people who hate on 3 for not having as much story while saying this would be too long got proven wrong in the most spectacular way possible.

For the card scene, the playing cards have just a tiny bit of ink on them to make the numbers and symbols. Caine senses are so heightened that he can feel how the ink makes up the numbers on the corner, which is very impressive. I think it's neat that this movie reunited Donnie Yen and Scott Adkins who plays Killa. Fun fact: In the lore, the writers confirmed that after the High Table appointed Killa to the head seat of the Germany section of the organization, he basically let himself go and gained a lot of weight. Prior to that, he was a talented and strong killing machine. Scott Adkins thoroughly enjoyed the idea of putting on a fat suit to fight John Wick. It was a bit challenging but so awesome to see. If anyone didn't remember, Scott also played the evil drill instructor that Donnie Yen fought as Ip Man in Ip Man 4: The Finale and has been in a lot of action films. Also, minor thing that was entertaining when a bunch of us went to see this in theaters. There's a lot of Cantonese speakers where I live. All of us were absolutely thrilled every time Caine gave us tidbits of Cantonese dialogue, especially the cussing moments. XD

As far as like John actually accomplishing anything goes i always felt like the whole reason he gets back in, in the 1st movie is because the world he did everything to leave came back to him and stole the most meaningful thing to him which is the ability to finally mourn and process death as his own person and not a killer and so he’s been kind of getting that revenge against them But also i think he wanted to ability to die and be with his wife having been free of that world again. So he does all this so that when he dies he was no longer apart of that world he left for his wife

In all three movies, he loses little pieces and memories of his wife, until here where he's "a ghost searching for his grave." If you get into all the religious and mythological symbolism of all the John Wick movies, his "death" is a high sign of his freedom. He completed another impossible task.

I absolutely love this movie. I got Cowboy Beebop vibes from that scene. Those who have seen it all know what I mean. I like to think Mr. Nobody is from the same group the main character from the movie "Nobody" is from both were Mr. Nobody and highly skilled killers with a military feel.

The Tracker is such a great idea. Somebody who wants the bounty to go higher so he’s keeping the target alive until the point when it’s high enough when he’ll switch to attacking the target. Also that top down sequence is awesome. In a movie filled with some of the best sequences of a franchise filled with awesome fight sequences, it’s so stand out amazing. And it just keeps going. It’s like a one-shot with how impressive it is. It’s tied with the knife display knife fight for best sequence in the franchise for me.

In John Wick 3, the doctor tells John on where to shoot him where it's safe. He shows him to shoot under the guts and on top of the shoulder. Exactly where John and Caine shoot each other.

I consider John Wick to be a slightly alternate universe to help suspend dis belief. They are really good at keeping most things grounded, like ground combat, reloading and no crazy wirework. But the amount of impact damage john can take, bullet proof suits, a giant underground assassins guild and any inconsistencies with Cane, are easier to brush off and enjoy, thinking they are in earth 2.0 :)

I wanna find the guy who invented dragon fire shells and get him checked out. It's incredibly over the top. From a range of 30-40 feet, you're dead regardless, but now you're on fire too.

They tested two endings, one that showed John still alive and the ambiguous one that's in the film and the testing group preferred the ambiguous one but I'd say it's pretty obvious the implication is that he's still alive. I think the scene with the dog at the end makes that pretty clear, they purposefully close in on the dog who very deliberately looks off quickly into a direction as if to notice John, that's not something a filmmaker includes without intention. Either way I don't think John Wick 5 will be a continuation but maybe a prequel. I'm down for whatever, they caught lightning in a bottle with this franchise and delivered with each iteration.

"Now he's going to want revenge." That seems to be a theme here. The High Table constantly makes its own enemies. It starts with Chapter 2, and continues throughout the story.
