Please don't ever take this video down 🙏. Still watching in 2024! Mr. Johnnie Taylor was and is my older man crush 🥰. He was sooooooo fine, charismatic, sexy, and had swagger for days. I cried when he passed away. I'm 56 yrs old and wish I'd had the chance to see him in concert. The videos on KZitem is the closest I'll ever get. Rest easy in soul heaven Mr. Taylor as your legacy lives on 💝!

Indeed he was. He had a slew of hits with Stax from the late 60s to the early 70s. Marvin Gaye is on record as saying that he thought that JT had a beautiful voice. In my opinion, if performers like Bill Withers, Junior Walker & The All-Stars, and Percy Sledge are in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Johnnie Taylor should be as well.
