This was a Sunday afternoon show that Johnny was given after he became an announcer in L.A., which was thanks to a guy he had grown up with in Nebraska who had become a sales manager for the station. He did a joke that referenced Red Skelton, which Skelton loved, and he helped lift Johnny's profile.

You may be right. Definitely the month of Nov. judging from the references to the USC-UCLA football game & Thanksgiving. Of course, show ran from '51-'53, so could also be one of the other years? BTW, Jack Bailey was hosting "Queen For A Day" locally too at this time(show hadn't gone to network yet), & was also probably on KNXT, along with "Carson's Cellar".

The woman at 4:30 is June Foray, who was the voice of many, many cartoon characters, including Rocket J. Squirrel from Bullwinkle.

@leftyspade then don't you think Scotty from American Idol for this year looks like a young Johnny Carson?

Not the greatest comedy show in the world,to be honest, yet even for a man like JOHNNY CARSON,you had to start somewhere! It was 1950,he was like,25 years old. And,for a guy that young,it was a pretty damn good first effort!

This is the show that "AnastasiaDisney" should end up being on "Carson's Cellar" with a young Johnny Carson, back from his grave. "MrMemy9909" will be guest.
