No one - NO ONE can, nor will ever match the repour, intelligence and talent of Johnny Carson. Celebrities flocked to be on his show, paid almost nothing, just so they could brag they'd been there. He is missed. His magic was he treated major stars with the same friendship and respect he treated talented relatively unknowns and viewers felt they'd get the same treatment should they ever get on his show.

One of the best Carson shows ever! Dean Martin is just SOOO funny in this, he never gives Johnny a strait answer, but he's constantly cracking Johnny up. Bob is his usual awful guest but with great clips, Charles Nelson Reilly tells one of his glorious, autobiographical, super funny stories. Carol Wayne looks great in super hot fashion, and the Tea Time is one of the best--which is saying something!

I was born in 1960, and from the time I was 8 on, I would sneak to the "TV Room" and turn the volume down to like a 4 (this was analog tv...rabbit ears on top of the set...you were elated when the picture snapped into perfect focus, for a while), and watch the magic each night. All of the classic moments, this video included, I saw when first aired. There was an edge of your seat because any night you were subject to witness historic moments. Johnny gave us the news and none of it seemed like too much to worry about. Now, we are looking down the barrel of looming hunger, A Winter without heat and apocalyptic inflation that has been feared for so long, and now looks to be at our steps and the real possibility of a nuclear shambles. Man, do I miss Johnny

Dean Martin had some songs I liked but he wasn't much of a comedian, I don't think. Sinatra was great with the songs he selected but I wonder why they were seen by so many as "great." Neither one was much of an actor, yet somehow, they were dubbed as the very big stars, that they never were. Dean almost 100% of the time forever portrayed his thing re his supposedly being a drunk and a friend of mine who just loved Dean said he got tired some years after he saw him do that poor imitation of a drunk over & over continually and he kept, all his life, telling the same old jokes I recall Dino and Frank on a TV show & often they never were entertaining (the music was good.) They'd call one another "Baby." johnny Carson beat them both as far as entertainment.
@jessewolf7649

Clueless commentary. Sinatra was a superb actor- see The Manchurian Candidate or The Man with the Golden Arm - and there’s a reason they call him the Chairman even if his obvious vocal talent escapes your keen powers of observation. And Martin notwithstanding his drunk routine had one of the greatest voices of the past century.

Comedy is more/less like many others.. songs/music, fashion/color, food, sport etc. etc.. Some like it- some don’t! Simply as that. Personally I enjoy the Dean Martin show. I find that’s a v good entertainment program, beautiful music with lots of laughs from that show. Dean is v funny. (my view) Frank Sinatra has quite a powerful voice. Cycles is beautiful. Talented, hardworking- Both of them. Deserved all their successes. (with respect) Have a nice day guys🙂 Take care. (Edit: Liked Johnny Carson, I thought he’s the best host on this show.)
