What's amazing is that Carl Perkins, the Statler Brothers, and the Carter Family were all headliner acts in their own right, and here they are singing and playing backup for Johnny Cash.
@jerrybrownell3633
4 жыл бұрын
The Statler Brothers had their first hit in 1965 with "Flowers on The Wall" written by Lewis DeWitt but they didn't go out on their own until 1972. Tennessee Three lead guitarist Luther Perkins who was with Johnny for over 12 years had recently died in a house fire and Carl filled in until Johnny was able to hire a new lead guitarist- Bob Wootten.
