Excellent and fun…how can that be? Cletus! I did the spit method for the first time and really liked it. I didn’t realize you can reduce the bulk. So it’s my new favorite! Better than all the rest and so are you. Happy Knitting.

I like the magic knot best but find it unravels sometimes if the yarn is slippery. But I usually do the "just keep knitting" technique to be honest >.

I always place like 8” off the new yarn under the old and start knitting. I weave in the new or old by placing the strand on top of the yarn I am knitting with. That way I don’t have to weave in any ends.

What convinced me about the so-called 'magic' knot was when I found out that its true name is the fisherman's knot. No fisherman is going to risk losing a fish because of an insecure knot is he? There's nothing magic about that.

The "clasped weft" is my go-to if I'm using a fiber that I can't spit splice. I use it pretty often but I had no idea it had a name :D

I like the magic knot as I knit mostly children’s hats. But a couple of the other methods look intriguing. Will definitely be revisiting this video. Multiple times😊

Russian join, baby! A word of warning (trust me on this): the magic knot can ABSOLUTELY come undone, especially if you machine-wash your knits.

Omg! I had no idea! But I never tried machine washing. Maybe if I ever knit something synthetic and machine washable, I’ll stay away from the magic knot! Thanks for the tip!

I just keep knitting, but I’m doing weaving Stephen technique as I go. Then your end is weaved in and there’s o need to do that later. 💪🏼

You're doing great! I think there is a great audience out there for people who want to learn basic tips and tricks about knitting, from someone who is not jaded and advanced. Knit world is sometimes cliquey and you are so user friendly. Carry on!
