There are so many people who never built stuff themselves telling me how much better to do it, it gets a little tiring. But if you built your own jointer, I'd love to see it. Email me.

These usual self centering drill guides have removable replaceable bushings. So if I had to make a lot of these, I'd just buy some of those bushings and use them in a wooden jig.
@matthiaswandel

Baltic birch wouldn't be suitable for those connectors. The point of the drill might follow the plys. I had one of my angles off bu just a bit when I drilled the holes.

cut light coloured lettrs out on the bandsaw, then glued them on a piece of wood. I had some ides of cutting thin slices off them and using them to decorate my 16" bandsaw originally, but they didn't look that good on it.

Didn't consider bronze bushings. Would be slightly better with them, but they need much more space, which would have required a different design.

I watch a lot of carpentry and fabrication videos.... You are by far the best. I admire what you do. I've seen all of your videos. I love all of your around the house projects with wood you find in the trash. Keep them coming! :) Ps... If I saw you in person I would totally ask for your autograph. Hi Matthias I think if you cut a thin wooden "0" ring slightly smaller diameter than the bandsaw wheels and with an inside hole diameter about an inch and a half smaller, the rings can be attached to the wheels with screws so that they cover the tire (inner tube) edge, they will prevent sawdust getting into the tire(s). They may also be split to attach to the side of the wheel the axle is mounted to. R. Converse

Can someone help me out? He removed a dimple of wood on the under side of the table to allow it to lower completely. Taller or thicker rails wood have had it above the parallelogram mechanism. So why didn't he do that? I know there is a reason, he must have needed it lower, but why? Thanks
@Ullimately

I saw something this morning about this kind of joiner lifting mechanism (parallelogram) but now the video is gone. Did you remove it? I dont find the parallelogram idea ideal because it moves the infeed table also horizontally. On another video you complained about self made tools and that others just buy their tools. Maybe that is because they have loads of money or they are too lazy to make custom build tools. And you talked about statistics, that the viewer count went down. If you like making videos continue doing that without worrying about likes or viewer numbers.

Instead of using those pegs to mark where the holes in the plate goes, why wouldn't you just put some screws or nails up-side down in there? Of course they would have to have the same diameter at the top as the hole. I would assume that would save some time and leave a better imprint?

Hi Matthias. Great job. I've just a question about your build. Looking at your website I haven't seen any mechanism to adjust the height of the four corners in the infeed table like the system your designed for the outfeed table. Am I right?

Matthias, I love your videos. Thank you so much for what you do. I have many questions, but the one I'd like to ask you about is the casters/wheels on all of your tools. I notice many of them do not have locking wheels. Do you find that the tools move around too much when you are cutting? I've often thought of using wheels on my tables, but have been concerned about movement and stability.
