Jon is so spot-on here. He says he doesn't like dancing, they instantly assume it's because he can't and try and persuade him to start doing it.

Yeah but "have you ever had any dance lessons?"

They missed out the funniest part from this clip when Sheila Hancock says to Jon something along the line of "dancing is natural and has been with humans for hundreds of thousands of years. What happened to you" ? To which Jon replies " I evolved". For me that's the best one liner I've heard in a long time :-)

He's bang on. He said he doesn't like it, not that he can't do it, but yet they immediately get on him about starting easy or taking lessons. It really proved his point in real time.

What I dislike is not dancing as such but people who try to force you to dance when you don't want to.

Jon and David Mitchell should form an anti-dancing club.

"You don't like dancing!?" Sums up the reason why some of us get so annoyed about dancing! Feeling like we should or have to like it.

I agree 100% when it comes to standard dances. I can't do it and everyone always goes "Oh just do dancing lessons". No! Nobody wants to force you to for example learn volleyball if you're not into it. But dancing...Yeah that you have to learn...

It's the same with karoke. If you tell people you don't like it, they literally turn a good night out into a witch hunt. They will spend most of their night, trying to get you on to that poor excuse for technology.

I agree. Nice people turn into horrible people. It all comes down to consent. People won't take no for an answer.

I completely agree with Jon; I hate it too. In fact, there was one `dance` in the 80`s which involved people sitting on the floor in a line pretending to row a boat or something. I had to leave the room I was so embarrassed for them.

I am fully with Jon here, I can't stand dancing, but then again I would barely consider attending any party haha. His point at 0:28 is almost instantly proven when everybody else starts trying go force him to learn to dance and then do it, yet it is very much possible he can dance better than those idiots saying that (excluding Frank Skinner, I like Frank.)

Maybe the problem isn't that Jon CAN'T dance but that he doesn't LIKE it?

I like dancing. I can dance. Don't try to _shame_ me into dancing when I don't want to dance. "No means no" for vertical dancing, too. I'm with Jon.

Jon Richardson had no material to work from in this episode because of the other pair of vacuous guests. Wow, I need to calmamlam

And Stephen Fry. He hates it as well. I don't mind dancing, but I would want to join that club just for the sheer awesomeness level of its members.

By the way, I hate to be pedantic, but in all the Room 101 videos from the current series surely they should be named Series 13? 3 with Nick Hancock, 8 with Paul Merton, and 2 with Frank Skinner by my count...

Why do they always get one funny guest and two pointless ones? Especially when they take up more screen time than the interesting, funny one. No one wants to hear the opinions of a 90 year old woman and a dancer. I thought BBC eradicated all their pensioners anyway?

I used to hate the very idea of dancing... Now it's restricted to hating the idea of solo dancing, and partner dancing that isn't close (salsa for example, but not say bachata or Argentine Tango).

Imagine that someone who can no dance wanting to do away with dancing. I say, just put Jon Richardson in room 101 as I hate him and he is not talented. I hate his movements. Everything he said he hates about dancing, I hate about him.

That sounds like something a typical dancing fan would say. Now f**k off!
