If I was a college coach, I would want him on my team. If he can handle academics and athletics, take challenging courses to get his 3.7, and hit and catch the way he does, he'll be an asset to any team as a student-athlete for real. The mechanics suggestions are true, but he has a good base for any coach in college to develop. If he can learn how to hit with wood, I see no reason why he can't make the pros.
@GhostCollective
7 жыл бұрын
Ilya Zhitomirskiy small, average mechanics for a high school player, doesn't look like a 1.9 pop to me but he's definitely accurate and if they get him on the gun at 88 like the stats say it does then he should end up at s decent school, kinda weird they didn't post his BA or anythingGot some work to do on his hitting. A lot of kids get taught to squish the bug when they're young like he does, but if you watch the bigs you'll see most guys driving forward with their hips and feet, as you're gonna get a lot more power. This is all just in regards to pro statement, you never know, but it isn't likely. I'm sure he'll get in somewhere and good luck to him

Very clean all the way around and great tools to work with here. As a coach this is the type of base I look for to further develop a player at the next level. There will always be those young baseball critics that will argue as to how to catch, throw and hit. It's either "he's not on the balls of his feet" to "he looks like his back foot is not balanced in his dab swing"... These are ALL things that will be developed at the next level.

I like the high leg kick on the swing it's turning into the new thing but you want to be consistent with it sometimes you will raise it fast and then next time a little slower just get more consistent with it to have better timing and look great behind the plate good feet and arm a little thing though is you like to close your glove before you catch the ball then reopen it eliminate less movement

Don’t bring your leg up so far just take a jab step and rotate your hips for your power and keep your hands closer to your chest in your swing it keeps the sweat spot if the bat on line with the ball longer and you’ll have more power pushing the bat through than pulling
