Jones is a freak of nature, it’s almost disappointing to know that we will most likely never see another fighter like him in our lifetime. You don’t have to like him as a person, but it doesn’t change the fact that he’s the best to ever do it.

When you beat up your wife, and run over pregnant woman with your car while drunk and claim it is god testing your faith and get caught multiple time by usada, I dunno man ... yes it changes facts. We will see plenty of Jones popping up in the next 20 years, the UFC is not as closed as it used to be, the freak of nature as you call them are out there. No worries man, let him go in the Realm of shadows. The only reason I don't dislike this video is I don't want the real god, Larone, to come and take my soul in my sleep.

I think what Jon struggles with the most is guys that are as tall as he and strong that he can't take down and has knockout power, his closest fights have been Gustavsson, Santos and Reyes. Look at Jones defense he can actually hold out his arm and keep guys off he doesn't trade punches the way Reyes got knocked out by Jan Blachowicz when both are swinging like crazy because its so dangerous you either hit or go down.
@mjd3879
Жыл бұрын
Although Jones definitely beat machida, one does note that the karate flurry definitely fucked him up a few times, he just had that amazing reach and counter that laid him out. If someone with Jones reach ever came at him with that Machida Karate it might take him out.
@darkclaw1462
11 ай бұрын
@@mjd3879 That's unlikely though, because Machida was literally KOing HW legends like Randy Couture previous to fighting Jon and still couldn't knock Jon out regardless. That's a testament the toughness of Jon Jones, especially when fighting fighters his size like Gustafsson In their rematch (he finished him before the championship rounds), Brandon Vera, OSP, and how easily he handled Cyril Gane and subbed him In less than 3 minutes. Which ultimately debunks the weak narrative of "Jon struggles with fighters his own size!", despite the Reyes fight I can see that's far from the truth. And If It's so easy to lay out Jon Jones, why hasn't anybody done It? Exactly. Jon Jones has never been finished In his entire career, and over 20+ fights later he still hasn't. Not saying It can't happen, but there's a reason why It hasn't happened In the last several years guys. It's not a coincidence and It's not as "easy" as your claiming. It's not as easy as you "propose", easier than said than done If anything. "one does note that the karate flurry definitely fucked him up a few times" Yeah Machida rocked Jon once In RD 1, and Jon didn't have one mark on his face afterwards. It was a good flurry, but ultimately that style didn't work and Jon negated and countered Machida afterwards In the later rounds, and schooled him.
