@@MegaJiffyman 1. Aaron has been injured too much to play at an elite level into his 40s. While he has excuses, he has underperformed the last two years. He's already made those 18th hole comments. 2. Love is exactly the QB that GB should pursue: elite talent that flies under the radar to get picked up later. You know they will need to draft a successor at some point, and this seemed like a great opportunity. Plus there aren't many quality QBs in college right now that GB could realistically draft without tanking.

After watching some film on love I finally figured out his actually draft comparison. Something looked oddly familiar with his game but I couldn’t pin where I’ve seen it before until I remembered what Aaron Rodgers looked like back in college. I think Love could have an ARod Level of playmaking if he gets put in the right situation to sit and learn. His footwork can be sloppy, he has some odd tendencies when throwing the ball that could be more fluid and natural but overall this is a great athlete with immense potential.

Dexter Elliott DJ hate was manufactured by big media outlets like ESPN after being totally wrong about a small school QB who they knew nothing about. And yes Duke is a small school for football they don’t get the top recruits and the ones they get they have to make due. DJ as a QB was groomed into what is today bc of Cutcliff who worked with the likes of Eli and Payton. Who was very close with the entire Manning family and the Giants organization as a whole. The media also never shinned light on DJ bc they didn’t think he would be anything seeing as Kyler and Haskins were the two top QB’s in the class and they had everything sold on the Giants taking Haskins with their first pick. But mechanics wise DJ was far superior to Haskins and the media never got it right until he was drafted and showed what he had.

If he ends up falling to the Packers, we should definitely take him. Fellow packers fans might fight me on this, but Rodgers is nearing the twilight of his career and we could afford to let Love develop under Rodgers for the next couple of years. I don’t think we’ll get Murray or Queen to fall to 30 and the WR class is so deep we could afford to wait till the second to take one. I bet we either manage to steal Jordan Love or take a lineman in the first.

I'm more concerned about drafting a quarterback in one of the next three years when there are two years or less on Rodgers contract. Then we would have more budget for a Superbowl run. There are too many other positions we need help on to spare a first round pick. And that's also assuming we let Rodgers walk which is by no means a certainty as he's made it clear he wants to stay. Personally I'd take a lineman on either side of the ball whether to replace Bulaga who we let walk or to help stop the run.

I will never second guess any of my teams draft picks. (Especially hours or days after the pick). There is so much more than just having the(a) name on the roster that contributes to how successful the player will be or how successful the team will be. There are so many players throughout history that had short/unsuccessful NFL careers simply because of the team they got drafted to. Coaching and system fit are just as big of a factor as what player you draft. How often do players get drafted, play well during their rookie contract, then sign a free agent contract elsewhere and stink it up then disappear? Quite often, and the draft is no different. TITANUP

I think most Packers fans overreacting to this are just ignorant.

Nathaniel Kaufman true, but it will help us win in the future. There probably won’t be any good qbs that fall to us in the next 3 years so he’s our best shot. Plus he needs to sit in order to refine his game so I understand the pick. I see us trading up and getting a WR second round because there are SO many still on the board

If Love goes to the Saints and learns behind Hill and Brees for 2 and a bit years I think he can be a great franchise QB just needs to learn to relax from some1 such as Drew Brees. But the only problem with him going to the saints is that they already have Hill so they have a backup

I came here expecting to see film of love, mainly because the title says film analysis. Maybe "my thoughts on Jordan love" would be more accurate

I don’t think the nfc north could handle a 3rd hall of famer from the Packers. It’s never happened before but there’s a 1st for everything

The thing about maholmes is that he went to Andy Reid, a QB guru. Let’s see if this packers coaching staff has what it takes

Packers fans complaining about receivers when almost every receiver caught 63%+ of their targets, they had one 1000 yard receiver and four guys around 450-500 yards
