@@fish4096 Adam and Eve did, in a sense. This is a fallen world, because humans sinned. Some of it is direct, like murder and theft, some of it is indirect, like cancer. God values free will higher than the absolute absence of sin. And if we have free will, we can choose suffering, and if we live in a world where others have free will, they can make us suffer. That doesn't mean God wants them to do it. But he gives them the choice. And Jesus also speaks of picking up our cross. So maybe suffering is necessary in a sense. @@strange4107 I can try to elaborate what Andreas was stating. I see some common ground feelings in that post so I’m confident that I can explain it well. I don’t call myself a Christian by the way. The only devoted Christian in this universe will always be Jesus Christ himself. I grew up in Asia and at least where I was born, Buddhism was and has always been the staple religion for the majority of Asian countries. Christianity was and is still not a common religion in Asia as a whole. Muslims maybe, but not Christianity, vanishing few. But there are more people with no religion than those who are religious. But the problem is the vast majority of them don’t even believe in their own God, they simply follow the tradition without the faith. One of the price you must pay for that ignorant is the value of the morality. As Dr. Jordan Peterson has said many times, morality is the governor of the world. It’s a very confusing concept to examine. But I found My faith or my faith was strengthen when I discovered Dr. Jordan Peterson, his lectures, podcast, speech guided me to the noble path of Christ. And it is terrifying to realize that the values in which Embedded within Christ or the teach of Christ/ the Bible is the only way to overcome the evil, the malevolence, the tragedy, and the suffering that will come to get you because you are capable of self-consciousness. It’s a very conflicting and confusing discovery. I hope that will answer your question in someway. But I would love to elaborate more if you have anymore questions!

At least that's what I know as. God can be feared, yes, but mainly he is love, hope, acceptance, grace, kindness, calm, etc. You don't have to fear the lord, just love him.

@@seanthomasmusic Definitely impossible. The wheel of time spins on sin. If you thought what happened in the "Garden of Eden" was a mistake, you weren't paying attention. That's not a curse on humanity, per se, it's the _nature of physical reality._ Put simpler, you wouldn't notice that you were conscious at all, if you weren't tempted by something you know you should resist. That's where the conscious part comes in, and a soul wakes up to find itself a living being. Of course, this would also mean it's true that we didn't need God or any of it to write that story, because if it's based on truth and reality than it could just be self-evidently obvious to any cave-dwelling philosopher with a keen sense of awareness and enough time spent dwelling on self reflection. But the actual reality of God, his essence before creating, well, Religion will never know this. We can only analyse what this mystery created. That's us, and the cosmos. Jordan, I love your honesty and your transparency. I believe your heart is genuine in its thirst for truth (Truth...) and your mind is open to whatever experience or evidence comes your way that might lead you into that truth (Truth...). Christ IS terrifying. He calls us to to the inevitable realization that we cannot, under any set of circumstances, save ourselves from our moral failures. That is true of every person whether they believe in Christ or not. Our moral failures are dyed in the wool, woven so tightly into the fabric of human experience and history as to be damning to every single living soul. His message and His life are at once terrifying for the darkness His Light reveals in us... and liberating when we take His words as a simple plea for the Heart of God to reach down to us and pour out unlimited and unmerited favor on our behalf - "Come unto Me all who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest for My yoke is easy and My burden is light". We must first pass through the terrible message that causes all humans to bristle at first... that we cannot do anything to earn God's favor. Then and only then can we see that what we could never do, God did for us in Christ - fully satisfying all of the moral requirements on our behalf as He took upon Himself the full judgment for yours and my rebellious hearts. This is so antithetical to every instinct we were born with it seems. People have to earn things. People are rewarded or punished for behaviors. Christ is God saying (my words here) "I created you. I know you. I love you. I will sacrifice my Son just as Abraham offered up Isaac in order to restore your ability to know Me and MY ability to receive you joyfully into my fold. Trust me". We are born into the 'knowledge of good and evil', a moral world in which we are doomed to fail because we are, simply put, a fallen people. What we need is the Tree of Life, a source of mercy, grace and forgiveness from which we can flourish unfettered by the constraints of our inherent inability to reach God by our own merits. God bless you, Jordan. And richly.

Here is my attempt to reiterate what he's saying in a more day-to-day fashion (without using terms like "Jung-ian" which most people don't understand): Our existence in today's world is one constantly surrounded by myths. Myths from books, movies & TV shows, video games, etc. And these myths impact us everyday; look at how a young boy will dress up as Iron Man, Captain America or Spider-Man because he liked what he saw in The Avengers: End Game. But adults as well love to act out myths all the time, at least subconsciously as they pattern their mannerisms and speech after fictional characters they admire and want to be like in real life (more often than not its the violent or sexual tendencies that get emulated). The most famous myths of all time are the religious ones, though of course you have huge populations who maintain that some of these different religious stories are in fact historical documentary and not myth. People knowingly and un-knowingly can also act out these religious stories in their lives, but when one does so knowingly they can be more consistent and vast vistas of potential open up as they attempt to live up to a supreme example of holiness. A synchronicity happens as the myth plays out AGAIN, in the real world. Whether the myth happened in real life before or not (irrelevant), it is happening FOR REAL this time and impacting our shared reality. Christ said over and over that he wanted others to emulate him, after all. So did the Buddha and others. P.S. So many of the legends we consume on a daily basis in pop culture, from Star Wars to Avengers to Metal Gear to Mad Max, have their overall plot structure, characters and thematic elements greatly inspired by works such as the Bible. These modern works are how a lot of people come to learn morality. This is often the case even if the work was not directly inspired by the Bible, it could have been inspired by something else which was in turn inspired by the Bible, because the Bible is just that old and influential.

The hardest part people have in believing is why he exists and what was the point of his coming. When you get into scripture pray about it just like it says. You will begin to see things unravel that you may have never noticed before. It is what makes it so remarkable. I grew up in the church and always had such faith in this loving person who came into the world to help mankind battle with sin and have the ability to overcome it. He reminds us how this is quite possible. The moment I gave him 100% I immediately saw things going on around where you say. No way did that just happen? Then when you see it occur so often. You know this is not normal. It's beyond anything you have ever seen before. I then leaned into him even more. The gospels began to come alive. So much so in 2021 exactly 27 years after my conversion. He correlated this to the 27 Chapters in the New Testament. He had also told me something else about the New Testament that just floored me. I was curious as to why 39 Old Testament Chapters and only 27 New Testament chapters. Why the difference. He then said to me, What is 3 X 9. Notice the three and nine appears again like in the Old Testament. Only this time like the fishes and the loaves, he multiplies this time. Just recently he showed me another remarkable thing found in Jeremiah 33:3 Notice all the three's like the Trinity. Notice also this time in that verse he is showing us that he will tell us unsearchable things when we call on him. That is certainly not calling on ourselves. But through prayer to him. The things he was telling me were not searchable because they were not written down, for me to find. He also reminds us in the Hebrews Chapter when we Diligently seek him we will see a reward. Remember he does not like it. Diligence means to seek him with everything we have in us. Jesus even dropped clues for us. Like those who are thirsty. Come to the waters and let them drink. He then showed up in front of me in my home while I was asleep on my couch. I did not even recognize him because he did not have this long shoulder-length hair as I saw in all of his previous paintings. I didn't recognize him. This 8-year-old girl had painted with such excellence that it was even painted better than Michaelagelo's painting. How do I know? It shows it just like a photograph. Just look at his skin tones and even down to the finest detail where you can see each facial hair. Just like Samuel who heard his voice, I began to experience the same thing in my life. He told me soon I would know who this person was that I had encountered in my life. I did not recognize at the time he was actually prophesizing into my life about a future event that would take place. I was going to find out exactly who this person was that showed up in my home. You see he was even about to prove to me that Mohammed was indeed not the last prophet by this future revelation to me. By fulfilling his prophecy. Exactly as he mentions in Hebrews 1. You see Mohammed is still in his grave but Jesus has risen. Is now seated in heaven at the right hand of the Father. Sure enough, I was surfing KZitem and I came across this video. The face was identical but his robe was a different color and his face was lit up more in my home. I was not only stunned by what I was seeing in front of me. I was absolutely amazed. This was Jesus. I will leave the video below that I saw. I have since seen him again the second time. Only this time he was wearing his long white robe with a crimson sash around his chest and waist area. This time it was in a dream. Jesus also proved to me his intelligence because one of the reasons for the different color robe he wore in my home was in case the devil would come by later to try and tell me all I saw was this video. So he had no way of trying to pull this off on me. Proving his intelligent level of beating the devil. I hope you enjoy the video. Why am I doing all this? It is because I do not awnt anyone going to hell. I remind them to get on their knees in their home privatelay tell him you are sorry for your sins. Get back to church. Ensure it is a church that teaches on the Trinity and shows love. God Bless ! kzitem.info/news/bejne/k3hunK1qkYR0e5w

Just like the thief did on the cross, who was next to Jesus. That thief repented and when he died Jesus made sure he was in paradise with Him. This man needs to place his trust in the sacrifice Jesus made 2,000 years ago. Keep in mind that even Satan believes in Jesus. Many believe in Jesus but that is a big difference between believing in Jesus and trusting Him. Belief is an intellectual understanding, but trusting is allow Jesus to do the work for you. @@lachlanB323 Lachian I see you are a thinker and you have a number of questions. I also see that you have a little trouble with the usage of the words then and than. Also the word (prey) was misused. The proper spelling is pray. Prey has a different meaning. But I am not here to correct your spelling or teach you the proper usage of words. So if you don't have a good handle on some easy spelling words, there is a great chance you don't have a good handle on other things. Especially those that pertain to spiritual things, God, and Religion. You instantly loose credibity when you butcher the English language as you have. This is my first tip in helping you and answering some of your questions. Secondly, please don't confuse Religion with God and Godly things. Religion is man's way of reaching God. God's way of reaching man was thru His only Son Jesus Christ who is God the Son. I am personally not religious. I hate religion, because religion will confuse man and you are correct to a point about religion. There are many different religions so they all can't be right. They can all be wrong or one religion or faith can be the correct one, but finding it is the key. Jesus Christ said, I am the truth and the light and way. Nobody gets to the Father (God) but thru me. So, either Jesus was a liar, a nut or actually God the Son. How you respond to Him will determine where you spend eternity. Jesus will either be your Savior or your Jailer. He allows you to decide. Thirdly, I would get off the talking point about religion causing war. If it was not for the Christians many years ago, defending the faith, you might be writing this in Islam. Using a talking point without backing it up is like telling me you graduated first in your class and we all know that is not true. Fourth, you are also confusing many of the fake tv faith healers and other charlatans out there with others who are solid Christians who read the bible and can back it up with sound Scripture verses. I do agree with you that many people have been scammed by these wicked faith healers and religious scammers, but not all are in this same boat. Without the spiritual discernment that it takes it is understandable that you see them all the same. That is where you are derailed once again. Not all are scammers and fakes. Many are, but not all are. Hope to hear back, and I hope I have not offended you with my criticism of your poor spelling and being so ill informed. Sometimes truth is like a punch in the face and you just got one. Now, I am happy to pick you up and share some truth with you. All the best. Which is that the focus is on avoiding damnation versus attaining salvation. It's a doctrine of fear, instead of encouragement. So, in other words: the message isn't "Here is the path to salvation. Here's how and why it works, here's examples of the way in action. You have our full support and faith as you attempt to follow the path, and if you go astray, all hope is not lost. You can recover. The important thing is that you never give into despair." The message is "You have to believe OR ELSE. There's no time to waste, you have to accept it before you die or it's too late. You are born in sin, and nothing you do will save you no matter how much good you do. Only believing, and REALLY believing, will save you from eternal damnation." Even when the intent is to help, the approach undermines it. Especially if you're on the outside looking in.
