Since I started listening to Dr. Peterson, I no longer struggle with addiction. I started business school at 27 years old. I'm moving from a small town in Pennsylvania to Seattle, and I'm actively engaged in 2 separate startup businesses, and I'm losing weight, staying active an healthy. This man has transformed my life in so many ways. I used to be this defeated, pitiful man ravaged by a lifelong war with myself and the world around me. This man is my sail, a tool on my ship to navigate the storms in life through to the peaceful ocean on the other side.

It's strange that Peterson is a man of ideas but his video comments are 99% gushing praise with no mention or discussion of anything he says. Stephen Fry tried to highlight this in their discussion by saying: 'its very easy to be lax about disavowing those who like one, but who one doesn't like. It's flattering to the ego to have followers'. Peterson did not offer any form of response to this and went directly into an attack of the extreme left. Lol.

Every time I watch Dr. Peterson, I'm reminded of one of the titles of Nietzsche's books, 'Human, All Too Human' and it's great to see. Agree with Over Engineer's comment - Mr. Edginton has been one of the most respectful interviewers I've ever seen. Far from trying to 'catch' or 'destroy' Dr. Peterson, he's actually trying to get to the truth - one of the few journalists working today that seems to understand that that is what journalists are supposed to do.

I love where Jordan Peterson comes from. I'm relatively new to listening to him and I am sharing his name with other's who may greatly benefit by hearing him. He feeds my soul. It's heartwarming to feel and know there are such good and caring people in this world. I am a good student and do take my licks in life in order to stand for my convictions. It's never easy, but holding down to what is right feels oh so good, and oddly enough from holding my ground I eerily end up in front of an open door of being more fortunate, and in a better place.

That is why they hated him because knowingly or not - he was deprogamming many people - undoing their malicious work and that made him their enemies.

Very astute observation! As I have said elsewhere in comments, I also think that the way he faces the world with honour, courage and honesty, is inspiring others who feel the same way to do the same. It's not possible to shut-down the independent thinking of people who have found what he says resonates with them and they now have an intellectual foundation to defend their values from the scoundrels of the world. I have personally seen amongst my friendship group, that those of us who find he resonates with us have become far less willing to compromise our own principles for expediency, and are developing the ability to see through attempts to manipulate us back into the collective group-think that mainstream society has become. He is indeed dangerous, because he is inspiring those of good nature (no matter our politics) to take a stand. It is clearly a terrible burden, and I hope he can endure it. I am sure though that if he falters there will be millions of people who are waiting to catch him if he falls. I think at this point, even if he does accidentally say something that gives his enemies ammunition to attempt to take him out, it just wont matter to all of those who have been inspired by him.

As the ever wise C. S. Lewis once said: "Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience."

Clearly, Dr. Jordan Peterson is an empath. He listens, he sees, he feels, and he gains wisdom by continuing to venture into the forest of people's confusion, pain and suffering. It is a double edged sword. One that cuts the path through the jungle of undergrowth, and one that saves by being willing to be a scout through uncharted jungles. However, to carry that sword is also tiring, and even tigers need rest. Dr. Peterson's insights are extraordinary and that is why many are instinctively drawn to his teachings. Perhaps, like many good souled people, he simply needs to rest. A good pioneer knows he must continue to tend the wheels on his wagon, for if they break the traveling quickly ends. Balance is often a lesson learned through broken wheels.

@@murphy2151 I wouldn't say that he is a pioneer, and neither would he. Peterson is a much needed messenger of past wisdom that has been largely forgotten in the modern world. There is a significant lack of counter commentary to left wing populism within current western intelligentsia. Most libertarian and conservative pundits produce content for the lowest common denominator, and have largely made a mockery of the ideologies that they preach. For many young people who find leftist thought repulsive and are too intelligent to consume cheap mainstream right wing sensationalism, Peterson was a godsend.
