The songs name is Screaming Head from his solo album The Rhythm of Time. The drummer is the guy from Behold...The Arctopus.

@bavsound dude this is one song, this one is about the riffs and the textures the Keyboard can bring to your compositions in a progressive environment, if you want to start to compare Jordan Rudess he has music in his repertory to be compare an surpass almost any human being that has live in this earth, so if you want emotion from this player just take the time to search for it and you will find it

4:48 - 5:05 sounds like A Nightmare To Remember off DT's new album. Did he elaborate on this to get the main riff? Jordan Rudess is a genius. Awesome performance. :)

@TheMightyTurtleHead It's an artistic thing. Some consider the design of a 1996 Firebird "art". Running up and down a scale as fast as you can while diddling the pitch bender is not emotional. Beethoven had plenty of technical prowess, and even now hundreds of years later you can feel the turmoil, the triumph, the creepiness, the passion of Vienna at that time. . . Maybe J.R. was involved in art at some point, but not this . . . You can argue anything as art but doesn't make it so . . .

@cprostudio Point goes to @TheMightyTurtleHead . To say that this man's composition is not art is an ignorant statement. Keep in mind that art affects people in many different ways. To conclude, because this did not get the 'emotional response' you normally do from YOUR favorite art does not in any way shape or form mean that I did not. Thanks, think before speaking.

@Joziaac Sorry if I offend, but that's exactly the point: What's the point if there is no emotional resonance outside of the players technical proficiency? Check out "Coby C" on KZitem, Soundcloud, etc. . . Good example of synth usage that's less technical but emotionally provocative.

@cprostudio If you noticed, i never claimed this song as "art". All i was stressing was that it still displayed emotion, however wanky and technical it may be. Read mine and bavsound's entire convo.I just dont like people who sit on their high chairs and degrade others prowess because its not what they like themselves. Say what you will, "art" is subjective and will always be such

@bavsound Just curious why it is that technical prowess and speed are often considered lacking emotional power or soul? I feel it provides for a definitive emotion, albeit different. All music provides for different emotions to different people. This argument is rehashed over and over

@TheMightyTurtleHead Look I don't want to get too negative, these guys are way cooler than a lot of people in this world. I'm just saying it's a bit wanky . . . I mean come on even my dog would agree. Guys with this much technical prowess could be doing a lot more with it . . . It almost get's cool from 1:30-2:00 then turns into a wank fest again. . . I can't watch more than 3:00 of this . . .

@bavsound Beethoven? Really? Cant believe im even entertaining the two in the same sentence. Beethoven could be the greatest composer the worlds seen and your gonna bring him up in a conversation about J.R.? This songs over 7min long soo theres much more to it than pitch bending but ok. Also, If we arent to trust someones declaration of something as art, why do u find yourself in the lofty position of artistic judge? Per ur reasoning, your claims dont make this performance unartistic.
