Bought this CD at an acoustic Hot Tuna show at a venu called Malibu on Lido Beach, Long Island. It was in the middle of the week and they played I think three sets that lasted into the wee hours of the morning. I was not able to go to work the next day.

A masterpiece. Got this album around 86 as red an article about Jorma. Then went to local record shop asking if they had any albums of Jorma Kaukonen. Hadn't listened any acoustic guitar music before this but got so much inspired of this record and a bit later Quah that started to practice more of acoustic guitar. Later I also met personally Jorma and Jack as they were performing at Pori Jazz fest in Finland. Too hot to handle, Quah and Roy Harpers Storm Cock are albums I keep on listening year after years... Music from heart... Think especially this album should be more known amongst guitarists. Its not even in Spotify for some reason. I have this on LP nd CD so I don't mind.

I believe recorded all with the '58 Gibson j-50. Absolutely unmistakable acoustic vintage Gibson sound with those metal finger picks- maestro!

This is an exceptional album! I'm a long time fan of Airplane, Hot Tuna, and Jorma, but I never heard this album. I love how intimate and direct the recording is. What a find. Thanks for posting.

Bought this on vinyl back when it first came out. Has a great version of “Ice Age” on it. I’m gonna have to dig this out of my record collection and crank it on my stereo👍🎸❤️

That's one beautiful DDHNM. A true gem indeed! Thanks for sharing. (You guys know that Jorma was Janis Joplin's partner in the early sixties? I think playing in cafe's inside the D.C. Beltway? Anybody know more?)

I saw 1000 dollars blazing in her eyes! You either get this or you don't. Unfortunately I get it and this tune is unspeakably moving. I wished I had lived a different life. Turn the ax down a bit in some tunes for the vocals would be my only criticism of this masterpiece
