This exhibition-the first retrospective dedicated to Josef Albers (1888-1976) in Spain-consists of more than a hundred works, as well as furniture, objects, photographs and diverse documentary material. His work is absolutely governed by an economy of means that constitutes the true guiding principle of his artistic practice. The exhibition also explores the process of artistic work and the pedagogical, theoretical and practical work of Josef Albers. The exhibition has been conceived and developed in collaboration with The Josef and Anni Albers Foundation (Bethany, Connecticut), whose director Nicholas Fox Weber presents the exhibition in this video.
