What are your plans since you aged out last season? Become a tech at a high school or other dci groups? Join a concert band? Either way, congrats on marching for the most successful years of SCV percussion.

The most challenging part of all his stuff are those dotted sixteenth/32nd note rhythms inside of the groupings. What's your approach to those? He puts them inside of 3s, 5s, and 7s 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️😭😭😭

They’re tough for sure... with any of those dotted 16th/32nd figures I actually try and widen the rhythm slightly between the 32nd note with an accent, and the following note. For me it sounds a little funny if played too closed. Playing them more open helps me to round out the sound, and to distinguish between a normal flam and one of those “French flams.” I also think of phrasing to the notes after the accent; I’ll play that next beat after the accented 32nd note slightly louder so the note is clearly heard, and not covered up by the accent. To practice it I would recommend starting slow, without playing the offset 32nd note accents and keeping the remaining notes steady within the underlying rhythm. Then when adding the accents, try to first play them very wide, to where the accent is placed directly between the surrounding notes. Then play them very closed, almost like a double stop. Then find an interpretation in the middle that you like. Hope this helps!
