Josh Berry has had an unbelievable rookie season. Unbelievable in that no one before the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series campaign would have believed if you told them that the Tennessee native and his three Stewart-Haas Racing teammates would all be looking for jobs halfway through the season because the organization was dramatically downsizing to a one-car team in 2025. But that's exactly what happened.
The 33-year-old detailed the environment at the company since the announcement, and admitted it has been sad, but also talked about how his No. 4 team, led by Rodney Childers, has stuck together and overcome the adversity and distractions, producing a solid stretch of results, including four top 10s and two top 5s in the last 10 races.
Berry and Childers have a great first-year relationship and the driver talked about how hard it was learning that they would be going their separate ways after 2024. He also expanded on some comments he made on Kevin Harvick's "Happy Hour" podcast about a conflict he had with his crew chief at Chicago.
