@@BRL492dude pimped it so hard he threw the bat at the pitcher. It better be 90 feet over the fence to do that lol

It happened to a lot of guys last year, they just weren't pimping to quite the same degree as JD....the ball was less jumpy in 2022, so much so that Statcast had to retabulate their expected distances and whatnot. So guys like Josh who thought they hit one out only got to the warning track in 2022. For the month he played in 2023, he hit 10 HRs, most were absolute BOMBS. Hit one in Oakland that went 475 ft...so I think he learned his lesson.

Honestly I think he knew that some of these weren't going to be homeruns. I think he's the type that just kinda naturally flips his bat

Lol some of these weren't remotely close to even the warning track !!! Just to play devils advocate a bit, in the beginning of 2022, the ball was deadened compared to prior years and Statcast even had to retabulate expected distances

But like unless you're sure you've hit an absolute moonshot in a crucial part of the game or with emotions running high, there is zero need for a bat flip. Most of these were within the first 3 innings, and likely wouldn't have cleared the fence by a whole lot anyway. Guy just wants his own Bautista moment so bad lol.

0:21 was an absolute joke. You only played how many hundrerds of games and BPs at Rogers Centre.... that didn't even make the warning track !

What a GREAT trade for the Twins. They got the Yankees to take out their garbage and used the money they saved to sign Carlos Correa.

It's honestly about time everyone gets over those like 2 semi-successful Jays seasons already. Players and fans have been WAY too cocky for literally no reason since then lol.
