For the first time in a long time I could see the real josh come back, not the facade that he portrays on social media, I could hear him speak and it was tolerable, he wasn’t trying to shade anyone, he wasn’t making jokes he was real and vulnerable and if he just showed that side of him a little more so many others would resonate with him

Nah. Still obnoxious with not enough integrity. He was silently agreeing w a lot of what Andrew Tate said when that sexual trafficker was on their podcast and he’s always kissed Kanye wests ass despite the things he’s said and done. I like that he shined a light on male insecurity here as it’s stigmatized to discuss but it’s hard for me personally to like the kid when he can b ignorant and obnoxious

I’m an avid BFFs listener, and for quite a while I felt like Josh was just phoning it in on the podcast. He seemed bored, he’d barely give his actual input, say non-things like “yeah yeah, for sure,” and it just felt like he wasn’t even trying. Whereas lately he’s been super engaged, gives his opinions, and is an all-around enjoyable presence on the pod. Now hearing him discuss the mental health issues he was facing, it makes sooo much sense. He wasn’t disengaging intentionally, he was just not himself and was really going through it. Just another reminder of you really never know what someone else is going through.

I have the exact same weight gain issues as Josh and its so validating to hear someone to talk about how distressing having a smaller body can be when you can’t gain weight edit: AND about how hard you have to work to make any progress - which almost ruined my relationship with food completely

Josh talk to your parents!! I struggle with that too so I know what you mean but trust me push yourself. I just had a convo this summer about it with my mum and she was so so sad to hear it because one thing I've learned is they wish to be hearing more from us (especially if we're away) even the bad stuff because they love us more than we can imagine (if they're good parents and people, bet yours are based on you) we're not a burden J... sending love xx

As a stripper, that conversation was disappointing. One of the main complaints dancers have is women touching us in the club, doing things like grabbing our ass or “shoving their face in it”. 99.9% of strippers don’t enjoy being touched, and being a woman doesn’t give you that right. It’s still disrespectful. We’re there to put on a show, not be treated like a zoo animal. And I hope to god, that you didn’t actually throw money on the ground & tell a dancer to “pick it up”. I think all of you should reassess how you view + interact with sex workers

This is my first time watching this podcast, and it has truly brought josh into a different light for me. I slowly started to understand him from the BFFs pod but I feel like a wall just got broken down of like prejudice and superficial shit I had of him. Josh is truly a very wise and smart person and him speaking about the difficult time he went through and his emotional intelligence. I genuinely teared up listening him talk about his struggle with body dysmorphis and mental health and as a person who's been dealing with it since 13 years old. I have another level of respect for him :)
