Joshua and Hope Finn's indoor rubber powered free flight demonstration at the 2015 Southeastern Model Show.
Welcome to Hangar77!
Joshua and Hope Finn's indoor rubber powered free flight demonstration was awesome! It was the first time I have ever seen rubber powered model airplanes of that quality fly. It was amazing to see their delicate airplanes silently fly around the building. The propeller on the first one they flew turned so slowly, I couldn't believe it provided any thrust to power the model. The length of time that their models were able to fly was also very impressive! Even though I have watched this video many times I still can't believe the way that these rubber powered model airplanes are able to propel themselves through the air and keep running for such a long time.
The Southeastern Model Show takes place each year in Perry, Georgia and is one of the biggest swap meets you will ever see. Two buildings were filled with tables ranging from individual modelers selling goodies, special interest groups getting the word out about what they do, and even a few vendors selling new items. There is definitely something for everybody at the Southeastern Model Show.
There is also a building dedicated to indoor flight. Throughout the day you are able to fly models indoors and at designated times there are demonstrations to watch.
A huge round of applause goes to Joshua & Hope Finn for putting on an impressive demonstration!
