I just finished watching your commonplace book video and not even half way through this one, but I have to stop and say, your content is phenomenal. Wonderful insights and your editing is incredible. Subbing and ready to see your channel blow up as people find you, Vashik 👏

@@VashikArmenikus I enjoy a variety of topics and I'm working my way through your channel. But it's just the way you approach the videos which is great. Bringing in Da Vinci, Virginia Wolfe etc into your videos is very cool. You also give a lot of value through your unique experience, knowledge and the way you explain your thoughts. (and thanks for going straight into the videos without a minute and a half of fluff :) Hope that helps

I love how Da Vinci approached journaling. It's exactly how I want to write. Sometimes I don't want write about what's on my mind, I'm just curious about a lot of stuff.

This is a great video. It presents a concise summary of three different types of journaling. (1) Reflection, (2) Inquiry, & (3) Expression. I'm currently exploring the various types of journaling, and this video was really useful for where I am in the process. Thank you.

I so very much appreciate you and your content on journaling. I’m 65 years of age and have been journaling since the age of 12. It’s only been in the last few years that I’ve been adding quotes, poetry, hobbies/interests & drawing a bit (more like doodling) and keeping sort of a commonplace notebook within my journal. I’ve gleaned many ideas from your video. I can’t thank you enough for your vlog is the first that truly speaks to me on my journaling journey. ❤

Awesome video and message. I started journaling on 2023 but having that same struggle on that, not sure what to add to my journal, at the same time I want to use it as a tool to be focus on my job and personal life, but also want to have something to look after a couple of years and be happy to read, something more personal than a book full of groceries checklist and other meaningless things, your video helped me a lot!

Instant subscriber! This is the video I was looking for; good explanation, great atmosphere and to the point. I started journaling with a pocket notebook; writing to do lists, critical information and overall highlights. But it wasnt until I bought some cheap Dollar Store Journaling books with predefined format (intentions, daily and weekly goals/gratitude, etc.) That I started to understand WHY I need to do it. I'm starting to do some sort of Marcus Aurelius and Da Vinci style mix. I need to do My self some sort of questions (how do I feel? Am I achieving what I want? What do I want to do next?), and have some sort of conversation with myself.

One interesting thing happened to me. I keep a journal that I write VERY SPORADICALLY since 2019. Some days ago I took it and decided to read. I noticed on my entries that I promised to myself that I would do XYZ, but until today I’ve never done it. So the journal gave me a temporal perspective on a number of things I just promise I will do and years later I still didn’t do them. This made me rethink my approach to some of these things and made me realise how important it is to keep a journal. There is also the other side: the nostalgia and nice feeling of seeing the victories you accumulated over the years. I saw an entry of how I was anxious to move to Poland, and how I had no clue on how things would unwrap. Very nice. My goal now is to be more consistent with it.

How lovely Rafael! We have got similar experiences together . I also look back at my entries and see what promises I have made myself and what I have actually done. I can also relate to your experience moving to Poland. I moved a lot in my life and each time I was anxious about leaving my friends and finding new ones. It’s great to look back and see how much we have change so we time.

@@VashikArmenikus very nice! Per what I saw, you lived in Czech Republic as well, right? I moved from Brazil to Poland, spent 2 years in Prague and now I'm back to Poland, living on the "country side" :D. I got tired of moving now (I guess the age is catching me), but travelling is still welcomed. Btw, I just finished reading "Borges and Me" which I saw you talking about in one of your videos. I loved it! I hope one day our paths cross and we can drink a coffee and chat about literature. :) Keep doing the amazing work!
