They played it up for chuckles a little bit, but as a vet with PTSD, I DO like how they had Thor portray dealing with it. He's self-medicating, depressed, avoiding talking about Thanos, not taking care of himself, avoiding his responsibilities. Very classic signs of someone dealing with severe mental health issues. If you or anyone you love are dealing with mental health issues, get help, get educated, and don't give in. No one can fight their inner demons alone, so get some backup and kick those fuckers in the balls together.

I utterly LOVE the elevator scene. They totally set up a retread of the elevator fight in The Winter Soldier, but subvert your expectations in the best way. Plus, it shows how much Cap had evolved as a character since then. Instead of fighting his way out of the situation, he uses his knowledge of the future to overcome the obstacle without throwing a single punch, and you're totally smiling with him when he walks out of the elevator with the scepter in hand.

It's a huge character arc for Pepper too. Her thing during the Iron Man movies was wanting him to stay grounded. After 5 years of him doing that and having their simple family life, she could've said "Yeah, you should bury it" and he would've accepted it. Instead, out of love for him and all they lost, she says that line. He was asking her permission to not do anything, but instead, knowing him as well as she did, she gave him permission to be himself, the hero. She knew she could lose him and Morgan could lose her father, but still, she put aside her wants for his and everyone else's sake. Such a beautiful wrap-up for her character throughout all the movies.

One thing people miss(maybe someone pointed it out) Heimdall and Dr. Strange both sacrificed themselves to make sure that Tony Stark and Bruce Banner survived in their battles with Thanos. That was because they can both see into the future. And, they both understand that informing people what the future might be will only create alternative timelines. Hulk/Banner and Stark/Ironman were the only ones that had the intelligence to make everything right. And, they were the only ones that could withstand the radiation long enough to see it through.
@Shirley36

late reply, I think most people knew that about Strange, but I think a lot of people wouldn't have remembered that about Heimdall... I didn't even realize / maybe I forgot? that Heimdall could see into the future. I know he was all-knowing but I assumed that meant in the present.

I love how they did Hawkeye in this since he's my favorite super hero of all time. He becomes Ronin and goes around the world killing gang leaders and stuff seeing them as being unworthy of having their lives spared while good people were taken away. So he is their death, coming to "fix" that mistake. The first time he uses a bow and "becomes" Hawkeye again is when he shoots at Nat to try and stop her from jumping. Fun facts: Thors sentence "I know it" when Cap catched the hammer is a callback to Age of Ultron where everyone tried to pick up the hammer. As Cap showed up and tried he nudged it like a centimeter and Thors Smile goes from :) to o.O. So he was always worthy to wield it and Thor knew it. The reason he didnt do it was because he didnt want to emberass Thor in front of his friends! Thats what the russo Brothers confirmed. I also like about this scene how Cap uses all of the powers and the synergies between the hammer and the shield. Because he knews if the hammer hits the shield it will create this shockwave since Avengers where they fought in the forest and Thor was told to put the Hammer down. Also in Age of Ultron they used the Shockwave to take on the tanks! Black Panther saying to Hawkey "Clint give it to me" is a callback to Civil war where Clint was introducing himself to Black Panther an he responded with "I dont care." Man this callbacks gave me chills!

Fun fact: there is a alternate, marvel universe, that they call M2, which is supposed to be the future of the marvel universe, where Captain America had a daughter, who pretty much had all his powers, and went under the name American Dream

This is peak MCU. Marvel won´t ever be able to top this. Not saying phase 4 is a flop, they are too big to fail. But nothing will ever be THIS good. Shang chi, eternals and the new stuff won´t click like the OG members did

Yes the year waiting was a pain to do. But what hurt more was the death of my brother a few weeks after watching infinity war in cinema together. Then watching this in cinema seeing the 5 stages of grief displayed by the characters on screen was a good therapy. Cried myself so bad to tears had to watch it twice to get any of that story. But those both films together with empire strikes back are some of the mostfond movies ever made.

there is a line at the beginning of the movie when they all head to the garden. Captain Marvel says "no defenses, Its just him" Nebula says, " and thats enough". later the fight against iron man cap and thor tells you just how true that statement was.

12:33 -- because if you dont wipe the blood from the blade and sheath it, it gets stuck. In movies it is more theatrical, usualy u had little cloth next to scabbard and wipe the blood to it before holstering the blade.

Endgame was also Stan Lee's last Marvel cameo, he passed away prior to Far From Home's completion. And Chadwick Boseman doing all these movies along with 42, Draft Day (both are worth checking out), and obviously Black Panther while battling colon cancer made me appreciate him a lot more and he's definitely missed.

Loved your guys reactions 🙌🏼 I agree that I liked Infinity War better than End Game. Infinity War was exceptional from start to finish. End Game had the slow, depressing start. In end Game, the girl power, all female battle scene was really cheesy to me. Plus Captain Marvel is kind of an overpowered “Mary Sue” in End Game
@BaddMedicine

The all female bettle scene is one of my favourite. And it seems to me peole can't decide what they want. Some complaine Captain Marvel should be strong enough to defied Thanos/ was brushed aside too quickly, because she is one of the most powerful people, others say she is too powerfull. I mean Wanda almost defieds Thanos alone breaking his sword and armor while Captain Marvel just keeps him from snaping his fingers. Even Captain America in "Infinity War" was able to stand his ground against Thanos for a few minute. Thor struck down countless enemies with one blow from Stormbreaker in that movie. The real problem is that the Thanos form the past without stones seems much more powerful then the first one with all his stones. By all logic Iron Man, Captain America and Thor should be able to beat him. I know he has his huge blade made from this special metal and he has his armor, but still.

10:16 i only just realized Hulk says that they have a chance to fix everything, Thor responds "what, like the cable?" and Hulk corrects him in saying "like Thanos" ....anyone who's seen Deadpool 2 knows that Josh Brolin plays Cable and was once called Thanos in the movie, this dialogue wasnt put into Avengers Endgame to reference Josh Brolin as Cable but this fun coincidence could work for the audience either way

There's a whole universe of TV series you should have watched before watching any of the movies. As to Steve Rogers, it's obvious yo haven't watched any of the Captain America movies. They all establish the backstory and are incredibly important.

Now I'm hearing him say "Finally Paul Rudd, to lighten the mood a little bit!". That's ~awesome~ hahahah. A belated "Welcome to the club" to you, dude! :)
