The top of the pass is the boundary between two communes. On Google Maps, the pass is currently edited at the foot of the northern pass, Hong Thuy commune (2018). The name of the pass is derived from the name "Ke village" of the Ta Oi people, there are 3 "Ke villages" on both sides of the pass in the two communes mentioned above.
