Welcome to this continuing series recorded in Greece called “Journeys with Paul.” This is Session #13. The focus of this session is upon the "words of Paul" as written in his letters to the churches preserved in the New Testament.
Specifically, this 13th Session highlights Paul’s connections with the “Philosophical & Cultural” world of the 1st century. Unknown to many, Paul quoted Greek poets and philosophers. He also wrote about religious and other cultural elements of society in finding an affinity with his Greek and Roman audience. We share verses about temples and stadiums as well.
We hope that this emphasis on the very words of Paul will serve to complement and complete the first 10 sessions recorded “on location” in Greece, retracing the footsteps of Paul. The focus of Sessions 11-15 is on the primary text of Paul and what he wrote under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit to the believers in the 1st Century. As we engage in these passages ourselves, may we be equally inspired to live as followers of Christ.
